My GG up in TN can cover a very large thrift store in about 45 min. And she inspects every woman's rack, some linen and nick-knack, and few men's racks in that time.
Then spends about 20 min in the fitting room.
They have a 5 item limit so we have a fitting room system. She takes in the first 5 items, I prep 5 more. then we swap out. 'buys' are handed out without the hanger and 'pass-ups' are put back on hangers. I place the 'pass-ups' on the return to rack bars.
I rarely have more than 5 items, but when I do, we switch places when she is done.

I had some of Christmas bought in June or July and then had to rush to get some last minute things in December! Leslie, sounds like a great plan! Hugs Lana Mae

Just shows how we have lost the meanings behind these "holidays" and commercialized them.

Just the old military apporach. We worked out the system over 8 years ago. My GG is also one of my photo models. We we are together she helps with the shoots and make-up on me and/or what ever model we are shooting, regardless of their gender preference.

Yes Allisa, the holidays have become so commercialized.
I now normally do my own arts and crafts for presents. Sometimes it is a photo scrap book a or a calendar for the new year using photos taken of the recipant.
