I am out to my son verbally! He was having some problems and dropped by for my birthday also. I asked if he would like to see some pics of me dressed! He said sure and looked them over. He then said, "If I saw you on the street, I would not recognize you and just walk by!" What a boost to my confidence! Sometimes the little things are big things! Hugs Lana Mae

You know I have had that happen with my daughter and son in law 4 feet away looking right at them and they didn't recognize me.
It is a booster for sure and I am glad he is "cool" with it.

I showed a work colleague a few pictures of 'Diane' recently, including a full face picture, she had no idea it was me. My two boys are both adults, I'm pretty sure they would be cool about it if they found out about me.

It's nice that you are out with your son and that both of you are so open.

Lana,
So glad it worked out OK, losing family in those circumstances must be hard to take.

As for not being recognised those comments are surprising but so many have said that to me .

I'm pretty sure I also that I could walk past my daughter and not be recognized provided I spend a bit more time on makeup than I usually do

I was in a bar and an old friend was there across the bar, he was chatting with a female friend of mine and he couldn't have been more than five feet away.

He didn't know it was me and a the next day he asked my friend who her "cute girlfriend" was!

What a great feeling!
