At work today, the business secretary said there is a nurse at the local hospital and he wears women's clothes! This is some one who believes the bathroom bill is correct and no men in the ladies room, trans or otherwise! We are perverts to her! This is another reason I am not out at work! Just a little venting! Hugs Lana Mae

Lana I hear the same stuff at my job. The usual comments like "I saw this faggot in a dress at Walmart...." I just bite my lip & say nothing.
Oddly though, no one has made the connection regarding my long nails and hairless arms. When they ask about my nails (unpainted) I tell them they are for plucking out the eyes of my enemies ala Kiddo from "Kill Bill".

Vent away, Lana Mae. Let's just hope that you and I live long enough to see people like that learn how wrong they are.

Jody: Yes,sometimes you just want to pluck out their eyeballs and store them in a jar!
Kelly: This person is gullible and believed the legislature was correct to pass the "bathroom" bill since it would protect her children from sexual predators! I had that conversation with her a long time ago!
Thanks for replying! Hugs Lana Mae

I met a lady with a similar opinion about a month ago at the bar. It was the middle of the day the place was empty I was the only one there until she walked in other than the bartender. So we talked about a lot of stuff and this subject had come up. We talked for a few hours actually she still has the same opinion but she exempts me from the group because she knows me now. I believe the answer is information letting people get to know you. That's how I handle it. I told her there's a very simple solution to the problem. You make all bathrooms unisex and handicapped. End of discussion.

The debate about the bathrooms is in full here in Texas and what bothers me is the ones who are for it have no idea what it's for. It has nothing to do with protecting children or women in bathrooms because there are existing laws for that it's nothing but pure discrimination towards people you don't like or understand. I've actually called the governor of our state to
voice my opinion. I hope our bill never gets passed
As far as people at work I'm to a point now I'm not afraid to answer any question about how I identify.
Now I'm not out out but I think some signs may be obvious but I'm just me so ask away

We are perverts to her!
We're perverts to a lot of people. Consider all the support for those bathroom bills by those who are otherwise quiet about it all. But they vote against us. That tells us how they really feel.

I have a good friend, known for 50+ years, he thinks the same way. I have tried to educate to no avail.

Lana Mae if you asked the secretary at work "shouldn't each of us have the right to wear what clothing we like, like what you have on right now is what you chose to wear. Do you have the right to tell someone else how to dress or what they can't wear? If you are dressed decently isn't it nobody else's business"? And also ask her if you (Lana Mae) had on hose, panties and bra right now and have been wearing that for the past two years under your uniform and you haven't had a problem with me all this time I think she would be at a loss for words. Then to take away any suspicion of you under dressing tell her I just said that to prove a point, but then say maybe I am wearing and maybe I'm not, are you going to be less friendly to me, I won't be to you not knowing what you are wearing under your dress. I do think she mentioned the nurse to just start a nice piece of office gossip and some people like to cut others down and belittle them rather than say something nice, they enjoy being negative more than positive.

Some people will never be convinced, no matter what. The facts are sexual predators are so unlikely to use that mode of attack it is really a non-issue. I suspect a vast majority of male sexual predators would not get caught dead in a feminine gender expression. It is such an elaborate scheme to get someone and there are so many more easily implemented ways to prey on people it is, to a large extent, self regulating. The fact is, from what I have read, there has never been such an mode of attack. In that sense, the bathroom bills could have an undesirable effect. It could encourage predators to try that method when otherwise they would not think of doing that. Sometimes, it is better to keep quiet and not mention things that might give someone some ideas. Especially, when there really isn't an issue.

I don't think there ever will be public acceptance, especially in the conservative states. I've had several conversations, over the years about cding, and walked away with the feeling... "nothing's changed". In fact, just the other day, I was in a conversation with a female friend who caught her son wearing her lingerie and make up. She wanted to know my thoughts. She has no idea about by dressing, while I was sitting there wearing my usual, bra, hose and panties. A guy sitting near apparently overheard us and, rudely butted in and told her her son was a gay faggot and needed psychiatric help. We just glared at him. He laughed and walked away. She was devastated. I was angry. I came very close to telling her of my dressing, but chose not to. Then, there's the hypocrites, who say one should be able to wear what they want, but you know they don't believe it. Sad.

My favorite tactic is to ask if they want Buck Angel (FTM Transgender / non op / shaved head / goatee / heavy muscles / heavy tattoos) to start using the ladies room with them.
IF you do look him up on google for goodness sake keep it on a safe setting :) - he's quite nimble

One of many unfortunate developments of recent years is the notion that people are entitled to interject their prejudices into other people's conversations and entitled to imposed their particular ideas on people who don't share those ideas. And most amazingly, ignorance and bigotry are celebrated.

I have met Buck Angel and there is nothing female looking about him.
Chatting with him you can hear just a bit of female here and there but I would say you couldn't hide 100% of your original gender if you transitioned.
OH I would love to see the reaction if Buck went in the ladies room.
That argument Rachael is one of the strongest out there.

Hopefully this woman never wears any men's clothes or she just might be a hypocrite.

I had a customer mention the bathroom issue and how crossdressers are perverts and they just want to spy on women and young girls. I stood my ground and told them that I do not believe that to be true and granted you might find a small percentage of "bad eggs" but the larger percentage are just guys that for whatever reason are more comfortable in woman's clothes and are equally out of place in the men's bathroom. Plus any news I have read of some guy putting a camera in the women's can was fully male, right down to the beer stained t-shirt. The guys that dress have a totally different agenda.

I did have one lady friend mention the bit about CD's wanting to spy on women.
I said OK what if I went in there would you think I would be spying on women? She said no silly you are gay.
She did think for a minute at what she said and she asked do you check out guys in the boys bathroom?
I said damn right I do so wouldn't it be safer for me to use the ladies room?
She was a bit confused after that and didn't know what to say.

I like in a conservative Southern state and I really don't think most people have an issue with a true CD or TS in the ladies room. If you're not even close to passing, you better just hold it. There are pervs out there (see people of Walmart). I won't pass, except as an elderly overweight gramma or maybe a lesbian!
