How often do you dress?

I was wondering how often the non-full time people dress. I try to dress as often as I can. Because I like to dress completely it limits the frequency due to how long it takes to get done up and cleaned up. I am getting better at the makeup so I can dress one night during the week where I don't have other commitments in addition to a weekend day. Maybe I just need more days in the week.

Hi, Before my wife retired I was able to dress 4 days a week usually for 4 to 5 hours a day. now I dress a little (like now) for a half hour or so before going to bed, just a simple outfit and lipstick. I also dress a couple of hours 1 day a week while my wife is at a weekly meeting. I also belong to a support group that meets once a month, so I drive there dressed so another 4 hours. I underdress daily and have for the past 15 years. I dress femme nightly for sleeping. I usually go to the movies on Tuesday nights and just started attending the Muny here in St Louis every Thursday for the run of the season. I also plan to attend another local play or some theatrical performance weekly. For the the past two weeks I spent one evening each at Shakespeare in the Park. I try to spend as much time out and about en femme as possible. The only things I don't do en femme right now are going to work, going to church, and playing tennis. Everything else is fair game and I'm making a point of going out to more and more social events en femme.

I'm probably crossdressed more often than not. It just barely mitigates the contempt and disgust I feel for my male body.

I, for the most part, live alone and stay home. But living alone has it's problems like"who's going to answer the door?" so I normally do not dress in the daytime. But I dress when I feel like it, about once or twice a week. Then I like to take a few (100 or so) photos, in several outfits after doing my makeup. Until last year I was able to fully dress when my wife was at work. Sometimes that was five days a week. As a retiree and my wife working it was great. Unfortunately my wife had a back operation followed by a diagnosis of breast cancer. She has been off from work and will not return until the beginning of the school year in September. I fully enjoyed the opportunity to be totally en femme. I forgave the makeup because it took long to apply and remove,and, who was going to see it. GG's don't wear makeup all the time anyway. I was able to accomplish a lot of the domestic chores en femme; washing and ironing, meal preparation, baking, vacuuming, changing the bedding, and, taking my breakfast and lunch in the backyard when the weather permitted. Now? Sleeping in Vanity Fair nylon full briefs.

But reality always invades your dreams so I would estimate that once to twice a month is the best that I can do. These opportunities run from multi day gatherings like First Event to home alone days where I can be Sarah for hours. At home I can experiment with new looks, practice make-up and just relish in that fact that I can experience my femme self in safety. In-between these times there are visits to meet friends, over night stays while away on business/hobby and meet-ups on the sly with other Tgirls.

Daily. Before work in the morning and before changing for work. And after work and on weekends most of the time I'm home and not out working on the house or yard or shopping or doing errands. My wife accepts and "sort of" understands. It's nice to come at night from work, take a shower and change into something silky and pretty. I agree with this 100%. I get to dress once a month if I am lucky. I have been as long as 3-4 months between. I used to be able to dress with travel, but now that does not allow itself to happen any longer. Do do so now, kids need to be gone and my wife either needs to be gone, or it needs to be a day that I am not working. She has started to allow me to dress behind closed doors or I would hardly get to dress. All our kids will be out of the house later this year, and my wife has stated that I can dress as often as I want (closed doors again). I will hope to do it at least once a week at that time. We shall see.

I think you should define "dress" a little better. You mention makeup and "dress completely" as things that limit how often you dress.

I've been away from home for a couple months and during that time I didn't crossdress at all. I do wear panties full time so I was wearing panties during that time but I don't consider that as "dressing".

Back at home, I get up and dress as a woman. Bra, forms, padded hip and butt garment, wig, women's clothes, wig, etc. As for makeup, I just wear beard cover and lipstick. Basically, I'm dressed for home or a casual outing. If I'm actually going out dressed (rare), then I'll do a better job of shaving and I'll do eye makeup and such.

So, if you accept what I do each day as dressing, then it's five or six days a week. Sometimes all day, sometimes for just a few hours. It depends on what I have to do that day.

There are three elements to my DADT crossdressing:
1. When my SO is out during the day, I will often just put on a bra and forms under drab – just like now, I just came in, she is out for a few hours, and I have bra and forms on. Adds up to about 6-10 hours per week.
2. Evenings I will often go to my man cave and fully dress, and if my SO is out I will do a few things around the house. Probably 6 hours per week.
3. Almost every night I wear bra, forms and nightdress and sleep in a separate room to my SO. 8 hours per night.
It all works for me.Of course I would like to spend more time as No 2.
