Doesn't everyone on her enjoy swishing in their dresses well you are not alone ? LOL
If you ever watch Youtube Videos I think you will discover it is nearly impossible for a boy to put on a dress and just stand there! LOL Even non cders I think secretly enjoy the feeling of the dress and dance around. My point is that just by doing a dance in a dress it doesn't mean you will want to go out and buy one.
Lets face it dresses are fun and vintage night gowns and slips feel heavenly even to non cders. I bet more guys would wear them if our wives didn't laugh at us or judge us. I beleieve more men wear them than we realize. BTW the nightie i am wearing in my profile feels amazing !

Every time I wear a dress.
I shall be dancing with myself this evening.

With a dress or skirt there is always a swish and prance! On my last outing, was wearing a skirt and can still recall the memory of how it swished against my legs! Hugs Lana Mae

Everytime I dress up, I have to stare at myself in the mirror twirling around and swishing my skirt... it just feels that good to wear!

I think that's called projection. You want to believe that others are the same as you are.

I wonder where you get that idea?

Sometimes is right. No, cdrs do not enjoy dressing or swishing. Why would they? That's why they aren't dressers or tg. For my part, I relish the feeling of the swish.

Girls like skirts/dresses because they swish. A case in point, I bought an A-line skirt on holidays and wore it the first time in the hotel room for my wife to see. The first thing she said was, "that skirt has a nice swish to it". Then, the second thing she said, "those are the kind of skirts I like". The only logical conclusion is that it's the clothes, not the gender!

When I was young I would do a bit of parading around, nowadays getting dressed in female clothes is almost as routine as male. I do look in the mirror, but only to check if everything is as it should be, hem is straight, seams are where they should be, things like that. I also wear pencil skirts, impossible to swish in one of those!!

Yes, swishing the dress is fun and for me when I'm wearing a skirt out and just a nice breeze gives it a blow I love that feeling a lot have no idea why but it's so nice

Oh my, don't look up swishing in the urban dictionary! My preference is to hike the skirt up ;)

It's not exactly swishing, but I want to spin around like Katniss in her flaming dress.

Most of the guys I know are pretty uncomfortable with swishing around in a dress. I hate to break it to y'all, but I wear dresses every day (I hate jeans), but they are just clothes. I like them if they look good on me, that's a nice feeling but the thrill of "ooh I'm wearing a dress" isn't really there. It's just clothes.

Good gosh, you read my mind.
There is no projecting this thing of ours on the routine Muggle dude. He has zero desire to put on a dress, let alone put one on and swish in the mirror. There is nothing further from his mind. His wife's opinion on him wearing a dress has no bearing. He simply doesn't want to do it.
And for the record, I don't do it either. I must be boring.

Nothing better or more comfortable than a skirted garment; a dress or skirt.
A long summer dress and just panties and bra underneath on a summer day? Priceless.

I'm trying to picture a guy prancing in a dress .....................yes a Tenn walking horse type prance comes to mind.
Swishing sounds like a brand of toilet bowl cleaner.
Assumption and projection I think is what is going on here.

Great comments I don't wear dresses often, a skirt and blouse alot and jeans or pants for day outings. But yes when I go dancing a dress swishing is great.

Well I'm still not used to seeing myself in a dress or a skirt yet, but my wife did ask me to give her a twirl when I had the first dress I wore on, I didn't get it but it seem to have met her approval, well she didn't run from the room in tears or scream at me so that's a win right?.

Love the op. I love to twirl when I put on a dress it just has to be done. The swish is part of the fun.

Me too. I can't help but stand in front of the mirror and take a little spin in a skirt or dress. What is it with that? You really did make me laugh, and reading what others said, I fit in with most of you; kind of reassuring actually:) Thanks for bringing us this question. Brenda

I am a mirror-swisher too, I can't help it. It doesn't mean everyone likes or does it. I get to wear a skirt or a dress so rarely though that it is still a treat to twirl.
It always feels better than it looks... sigh (but it's fine really) :)

To be clear ladies I didn't say most guys had the desire to put on women's things. What I was asserting was that when a regular guy puts on things like panties, slips, nighties or dresses the material and cut makes them act silly and girly.
So many times on the Newlywed game wives would out thier husbands for putting on their lingerie and dresses and would always say they danced around in them. LOL. The guys were always extremely embarassed.

I might swish the dress or full skirt in front of a mirror, but if I tried to twirl, I'd fall down!

I don't swish or prance. I wear dresses and skirts every day. To me it's just normal clothing. I like to admire my presentation, but no more than any woman.

Robbie,
Watch the GGs wearing a full skirt or dress they move differently so I would say many like to do a little swishing sometimes, why should we be any different ?
Prancing around is usually the put down heard from wives and partners, I neither prance around or camp it up , I just enjoy wearing the outfits like any GG would . Paula says they're just clothes but they do change the mood depending on the style and if you're pushing the boat out a little, male clothes just don't have the same effect .
It is lovely to wear a ballgown when you get the chance to dance, the movement with heels does feel very special .

I never prance, but I love twirling a skirt. And if you dance n your skirt it is swishing around.. I love dancing.

Could you produce a link to those Newlywed game episodes?
Most normal guys aren't going to put on womens clothes for any reason so I challenge your assertion or projection which you seem to do a lot.

??? I'm perplexed. What magical power do women's "things" possess to impose girly and silly behavior on "regular guys".
For the record, I've been wearing such things for the better part of 5 decades, and never have I been compelled by the clothing items to be anything other than myself.

I have tried for years to find those episodes. Do you really find it hard to believe a guy would playfully put on women's clothing for fun ?
Go to YouTube and look up the " Clothes Swap Challenge " I will wait your response !

When I first started, it was all about swishing and prancing but as I've advanced in my TGness, it's now more about mincing and cavorting with the occasional frolicking about.

Not sure where this is going but hey!
I was a young male which was well, did put on female clothing when forced to by my female partner, for her pleasure! At the time I was a very straight male!
So I can now say that as a straight male I FN Hated that.

Not sure about the prancing and twirling but if it wasn't for the swish of my skirt or dress, I'm not sure I would dress at all. It is what truly gives me that feminine feeling like nothing else. Hearing my heels click and applying makeup are a close second and third but nothing replaces the swish, it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it...

Rarely Swish and prance. But I still enjoy the feel whether standing. walking, or sitting. (At my desk the floor vent does ruffle up my skirts and blow up into the skirt a little.)
Inversely, I find hosiery tends to reduce the feeling of the skirts but does impart their own sensation and hose makes it easier to slip into my heels.

I'm too damn old and stiff to prance. I do like the way a skirt moves when I walk, but if I tried to swish I might throw out my lower back. I'll be careful.

I love the swish of my dresses that fit loosely enough to swish. And while I don't recall ever prancing, I do little dance moves in front of the mirror sometimes when I finish dressing... :o

Those older episodes had to be back in the 70's early 80's and I doubt any guy would wear his wife's clothes on national TV and prance around.
OK I did check that out clothes swap challenge and those are 90% kids and young adults and nothing like the 70's and 80's
I watched a few and found them to pretty much make fun of guys wearing womens clothes. To them its nothing but a big joke.
Is that how YOU want to be looked at?

I've seen videos of crossdressers that can't help but feel up their legs, torso, ass etc. as they prance if front of the camera. It's really quite common.

I find this interesting. I liken it to when you buy a new(er) auto. Before you bought the vehicle you occasionally saw one on the streets, After the buy, then all of a sudden you see them all over the place, specially those of the same color and model.
If you are a CDer, you notice other CDers more than before when you are dressed.
If you swish, or even talk about Swishing and Prancing, you soon start seeing more examples.
Personally I am NOT a swisher. I do love the feel of the materials against my body, the sliding of skirts/slips against my legs, the rubbing of dangle earrings against my neck and cheek. Occasionally even the waxy feeling of lipstick.

I don't swish or prance when I put on a dress. I don't see actual women swishing or prancing either.
I have used the phrase "prancing around in a dress" in the past and apparently offended some people here. And they did not hesitate to let me know.

Regular guys never even think of trying on women's things. If they were coaxed into it, maybe they would swish around, exaggerating and making a game out of it? Because most would think it was all silly nonsense!
I can honestly say in the 20 years I've been dressing I've not once pranced around in a dress. Why? Because it never occurred to me. I try to look like a woman. And, I've never seen one do that!

Ok maybe you are right about the prancing that might be more about when I put on my sisters tutus but swishing in a dress and or slip is way too much fun ! If you are not swishing you are missing half the fun !
