Today was a Christie day to do a bunch of errands and household shopping...yes my wife is away. As luck or fate would have it I found myself near a Sephora. Unfortunately it was getting later in the day and the beard covering was getting thin...but what the heck. I went in and asked questions about which eye shadow palates would go with my newly sunburned face. She asked if I wanted to try some and pulled out a chair. It was while she was explaining her application technique when I heard the woman in the other chair ask " is that a man"? The other Sephora make up SA quickly asked her so what if there was a man here? She continued for a few minutes about how cool it was that some men feel comfortable enough to come in and isn't it OK if they want to look pretty?. When the other woman was finished she came over and told me that she liked the look. Did she mean it? I don't know nor care. She seemed to be authentic and I took it for that. The other SA took off for dinner before I could say anything. I thanked my SA for everything and she told me that she had fun and enjoyed playing on my face. She then said that I needed to come in when we had more time and she would give me a total evening look. I am looking forward to that!
Another great outing with hopefullly one more person educated about our diverse world. Oh ya, I left with some nice summer eyelids, with glitter, eyeliner and mascara.
