A friend of mine posted this on Facebook and when I saw it, it hit home and I think this has a lot of truth for those of us here. I know that everyone has there reasons for their decisions and I support that. In my case I know for everything I've given up it's been more than made up for by what I gained, Happiness and finally really liking myself! https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v9/f51/1/16/1f603.png

Yep I agree.
Then you have that group of people that want it all but aren't willing to actually put in the effort to make changes happen.
They feel happiness is a right not something you have to work towards.

Something I truely believe in: "For every gain there's a loss...for every loss there's a gain."

Funny...I had that very thought about people yesterday.

The only human being that readily accepts change is a wet baby. All others will resist it in some way.

Change isn't always better. It's a nice thought to think that no matter what happens is going to be for the best, but sometimes change is negative.

"One reason people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up, instead of what they have to gain"
By that logic, I should sell everything and buy lottery tickets.

Something I truely believe in: "For every gain there's a loss...for every loss there's a gain."
Yeah, but when the gain is by someone else, and the loss is by me, forgive me if I decline to partake in the exchange.

It seems like some people are misinterpreting what I was trying to state. I'm not saying everyone should change just for the sake of changing. Everyone needs to make the choices that are right for them, and I respect them for making the choices that are right for them. What I was trying to point out is that all to often I see people only focusing on what they might lose or have to give up without looking at what they might gain. Yes you could lose, but you could also lose by keeping things as they are. Life is a series of ups and downs and if all you ever look at are the downs are you really living?

Paula some people won't venture out of their safe little bubble world they live in.
Those are the ones that bitch and moan all the time how bad things are.
Sure they know they could change their situation if they really wanted to but they like bitching and moaning and seek attention.
