View Full Version : Could You?

If for some reason, it doesn't matter what, you were told that you could only dress in femme clothes from now on, could you do it? Also in doing so society largely would not object. I couldn't. I would not want to wear femme clothes at my work and also, in shorts only mode, male works for me.

As a closeted transgendered person, I certainly would try. I suppose that one answer would vary depending if on is TG, CD or something else.

Yep, in a heartbeat!

Would not even have to think about it. I would have no problem wearing only women's clothing.
Except for my shirt and shoes, I already wear woman's clothes all day everyday.

Georgina,
No question about it I could dress full time and may get the chance in the next few months.
I agree some clothes would need to be appropriate , they do nice femme work clothes when you do need to get your hands dirty !

If society accepted it? In a flash.
Teresa

Jean,
On the whole they do accept it, much of it is in our minds, we make excuses because of false fears, I have been amazed how little people take notice and comment.

If I HAD to wear them all the time?, I'm pretty sure I could get used to it.

Not 100% of the time as in my type of work I feel men's work clothes are more protective and the boots are more rugged. Now my panties I consider are now pretty much just mine that I wear almost daily. Most of my shorts are nothing but old cut-offs from my wranglers that get worn out. I think the answer would be the type of work one does. In all other situations I would love to be able to dress, wear makeup, and go out without any one blinking an eye at me. Women's clothing manufactures could make this happen by selling neutral clothing and advertise it is for male n female. We both already wear T-Shirts that are almost cut the same and some jeans are looking the same.

Hell-o Georgina,
What would the penalty be if I didn't comply?
If femme clothing were all that was made available
for me to wear, I'm guessing society might have a
bigger issue with me going about my business naked???

What a silly question. If I wear clothes at all, they have to be fem? Fine. Fem it is. I could get by in my birthday suit in these climes for a few months out of the year, but then it would be too cold.

Well I could as I am retried. A doctor told me one time a while ago as they put me in white thigh highs after surgery and I asked him why and how long should I wear these. He said you can wear them any time you like to the rest of your life.

Its been that way for 11 years now.

Would you want to. Some tasks require farm style protective clothing. It's not all glamour. Most cowgirls are practical and not sexy, in spite of the movies

I probably would jump at the chance and do it. I feel like mens clothes are very bland so wearing dresses all the time would excite me.

Good question.
I believe you’re going about it the wrong way. No matter what you say, dressing is a “State of Mind”.
No one is saying to finish concrete in a mini-skirt and heels. You dress for the task at hand, whether you’re a male or female.
As far as all of the other times; piece of cake. You can do anything once you’ve made up your mind and for a CD to pass as a women every time where wearing female attire is acceptable, i.e., office, is no big deal (we are making the assumption that you can “pass” without talking, okay?”
After a while, it all becomes a habit that you don’t even think about.
There’s no fear here: just fun, but that doesn’t mean not to be aware of your surroundings.
Stay safe.

Your proposal misses one significant point. In it you have no choice, there is no other option. Surely it should read, if you had the opportunity to dress in femme clothes only without any adverse consequences, would you?
For me I'd answer no. But then I like having the best of both worlds. 80% of the time, I'd go for that. Having said that, if I didn't have to do makeup every morning, forms, hip and bum padding, just the clothes, that would put a different complexion on it. 90%.

Georgina,
Unlikely....as my male activities include motorcycle riding, fly fishing and various classic macho clothing. Given that, I have seen some pretty pink motorcycle helmets and jackets worn by some impressive women riders....

I guess it depend on how you define "femme" clothes. Can I wear flats sometimes? Do I always have to wear a skirt/dress or are leggings, girls shorts, skinny jeans, etc. allowed. Assuming any women's clothing is available, absolutely yes. I can't imagine anything more comfortable to wear than leggings, a long tee, and ballet flats. This would probably be my go-to outfit if I could wear it without creating a scene. And in the hot months, I imagine a sun dress would be very comfortable.

With the hypothetical of society being fully accepting, yes. Not sure if I would ALWAYS prefer women's clothing, but I could go 24/7. As society is, I think I would quickly tire of being somewhat of an oddity. Some feel the need to be 24/7 so they deal with that aspect. The fem force is strong with me, but not that strong.

I certainly would welcome the idea that all, currently perceived, female clothing was the norm for everyone. They have the option to where anything from jeans and tees to pants suits and from mini skirts to formal gowns. Therefore the range of available clothing would pretty much include what most of us wear in male mode anyway (even if it would be in the much nicer female designs).
So, this being said, I would jump at the opportunity.

Good question. Yes, I think I could tough (or fem) it out and wear femme clothes 24/7. It would probably be the little push I need to be 100% authentic.

It would be wonderful! And at this point I only buy female clothing anyway, no interest at all in men's stores or departments.

Considering all the options that females have, I'd have no problems doing it. Matter of fact I would prefer to have the option of a skirt or dress in the summertime.

Simply Yes. If every one else was happy with it I would dress as a female, no question.

Honestly if there was no objection to society I would happily wear only women's clothing at all times.
I'd love to wear pretty pink shorty shorts and a t-shirt when doing yardwork or whatever. I'd love to be able to get all dolled up in a dress with full makeup etc. and have a night on the town with no worry in all settings. However knowing me, if was mandated I would resist because that is how my personality is. Anything mandated I hate complying to.

hello Georgina,
that is actually a deep question. Would it be crossdressing if society did not object? We don't object to women wearing trousers and call the crossdressers.
would I find crossdressing so attractive if it was not a challenge?
well, I would do it, but I would worry that it might become as boring as wearing men's clothes.

Teresa
07-15-2017, 06:31 PM
Jacques,
It could never be as boring as drab mode , you can always go and buy another outfit or different shades of makeup , change your perfume buy a new wig . It would take a long time before I became bored with dressing .
As for a challenge most of us love that aspect , the more we do it, the aspects change and so do the challenges .

I would have some difficulty, because the female style clothing I feel normal wearing, is only considered appropriate for teen age females. Nearing retirement, I would look quite ridiculous, or foolish to most people, as would any GG my age dressing in the same attire. Work requires a unisex uniform, so that would not be a problem. But socially, I'd probably get a lot of, 'What the heck are you wearing?' type of remarks.

Yes, I could. In fact, I wear femme clothing all the time now, unless I have "male" things I have to do. "Male" things are those that require me to use my legal name, and going to church. (I belong to an extremely conservative sect, and switching churches isn't an option right now.)

I would embrace it for sure. I mean, I have to wear them, there is no other choice. The only thing preventing me from wearing full time now is the way my family and friends would react. If they wouldn't shame me, draw conclusions, or degrade me then I would be 100% behind this. Sadly I'm not from the kind of family that is very accepting of others.

Perhaps you haven't thought of this, but women often wear what you might think of as "men's" clothes to work. Postal carriers, UPS and FedEx drivers, police officers and firefighters, etc.
As for my answer; It will never happen so why worry about it. While it might become acceptable someday for men to wear some sort of dresses or skirts and blouses it is never going to become acceptable for men to walk around in public wearing breast forms and hip and butt padding. Without the body enhancements, I have no real desire to wear women's clothing in public.
I do wear women's jeans in public but I've long ago thought of them as "jeans", not "women's jeans". Tome and others, they are just well fitting jeans.
