my birthday is coming up in a few days and my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told her nothing and then a few minutes later I told her I knew what I wanted! I told her that I want for her and amanda to go out together. she asked where and I told her maybe a cd friendly club. she asked about going out to dinner. I told her that would be awesome too. she is thinking about it and hopefully I can fulfill my fantasy. she is just worried about coming across people that will try to start something which I can fully understand. she is very protective of amanda! wish me luck, girls! if it happens I will post a picture or two!

Hi Amanda,
That sounds amazing. It's fantastic that your wife is so supportive & protective of you. I hope that she decides to go ahead with your suggestion and that your birthday evening is everything you wish for. Good luck & enjoy! :)

Amanda -- sounds like an awesome birthday adventure! If you choose the dinner option give a logistical thought to bathroom use. Dinners can get long and restaurants aren't (usually) as loosey-goosey as clubs. You won't want your fun spoiled by having to fret over that. It's easy to find places that have single-stall restrooms if you're not up for a trip to the ladies.

In any case, have a great birthday! I'm always so happy to hear of couples who can get out together.

Just go and have yourself a good time. If it helps, get yourself and your wife matching pepper spray so no one tries to "start something". Chances of that happening though are pretty minimal. People are basically cowards, so you might get some comments but that's likely the worst of it.

Oh and I'd suggest dinner and maybe a movie first if you haven't really gone out with your wife yet. "Da Club" can be a little pick-up-y and you don't want to give you wife the wrong impression right?

You need to check local laws before you start walking around town armed with pepper spray. It's illegal in some places.

That said, unless you go to some really risky places, the chance of anything more than unpleasant comments and sneers is pretty remote, especially if it's early in the evening. And remember, if someone says something, you don't have to respond and escalate the situation. You are a female for the night so park the male ego at home.

Wishing you well on your Birthday!
As my wife only tolerates make-up and nails when we go out I do understand how nice I could be to be fully dressed!

Best wishes with it!
Stacy!

Amanda, if you go to an upscale restaurant, no one will 'start something'. The people there, like you and your wife are just very classy types. Have fun! Happy Birthday!

Hope your birthday wish comes true. Perhaps dinner and a movie. Decades ago all I wished for was a pair of panties, which would have been a little affirmation of who I am. Didn't happen as I wanted. My wife was terrified as we shopped in a Mervyn's. Somehow she thought everyone around us would be able to read our minds we were shopping for panties for HIM! Egads! The sky is falling. I would think it is fairly safe to go to an upscale restaurant. Check out a place a head of time. That should give you some idea of the patrons. Movie? Just don't go to the opening weekend of a new hit.

Happy Birthday. As a new member with a birthday coming up in the next few months, maybe I will approach my wife with a similar request.
