My wife and I were food shopping together, and she had to go to the bathroom.
We have a DADT relationship, and she rarely talks about it, but she shared this story with me.
My wife goes to the ladies room, and as usual, there is a line. When it's her turn, she goes into a stall, and the woman who had just left it, had "spilled" urine all over the place. My wife tried to clean it up, but it was just too gross. She went out of the stall, and gave the woman who was still at the sink, a piece of her mind. The woman was nonplussed about it. So my wife went into the next stall that was open, and saw another woman go into the gross stall. When my wife finished doing her business, she said the woman in the next stall must have been trans. She got in and out very quickly, and the seat was left up.
I was at a loss of what to say, because I was afraid to overshare. Then I said that all well trained trans women know that when they use the ladies room, they should sit like any other lady. But maybe in this case, the trans lady had to do what she had to do and used the male privilege to go standing up under the circumstances. Note that I didn't say that I've used the ladies room when en femme. Of course I have, many times, more than I can count.
Them my wife said that she didn't see why everyone made such a big deal about trans women using the ladies room. After all, everything takes place in the stall behind closed doors.
I agreed, and told my wife that that at least we now know that some natal ciswomen are worse in the ladies room than trans women.
Anyhow, the best thing is that after me going out for years, she finally broke the trans barrier. Maybe more acceptance will be coming.
