I haven't posted here in a while, I’ve been busy with my coursework for the college side of my apprenticeship, I've also bought a new car so that's been keeping me busy too, I enjoy driving it.
For those that are wondering its a Ford Focus ST170 the sport version of the MK1 facelift focus (not the new orange one, if only i had £20,000 to spend  or maybe a TVR Sigaris for £45,000 :c9:) but I have been so taken aback by the performance of my new set of wheels (173 bhp 2L engine) that I have almost forgotten about cross dressing, as it has always been cars are my one true love, and I can't go out now as Amelia as I need the extra money to put in the petrol tank, not to mention the insurance costs literally doubling over night! But i don't care about it because I enjoy driving. Are there any other girls on this site that put adrenaline fueled madness over and above their Cd'ing?

Hugs

Dear Amelia,

Gotta hand to it to, the title to your post is like a professional sales line for the post. It rocks!

Congratulations on that car honey, it sounds sexy and it sounds seriously fast!! Enjoy many endless hours between you, the roar of the engine, a straight road and the wheel!

As for the dressing, I understand where you're coming from. Everytime I "fill 'er up", my mind starts thinking of what item of clothing could have been purchased with that money. But the minute I'm behind the wheel again, CD'ing is a distant memory and the pure exhiliration of driving takes over!

We sail in the same boat!!! :D

Cheers!
Sonia

Hi. Love...I certainly never put a car before the joys of being TG.!!...I USED to be a petrol head like you...but spent 10 years in the Motor Trade...that cured me.!!!...but I can still appreciate a nice motor nevertheless.!!..so long as it goes with my girly image.!!!

I have recreational interests that are usually thought of as guy things, in my case I'm a rabid pro football fan, and I love fishing. As far as the fishing goes, these days I can go years without it, and I don't miss it - and when I compare that to crossdressing, I could not say the same, I would miss crossdressing in a big way.

On the other hand, if I were denied the pleasure of following my favorite pro football team, I would be very uncomfortable about that, it would really bother me. Sometimes with all the injuries and whatnot I feel like I *ought* to quit being a fan of pro football, but I've never been able to act on that feeling. What a mass of contradictions, or at least diverse things going on, probably of interest to no one but myself ;)

I'm still learning to drive at the moment, fiancee has a diesel. I had to drive home from the cinema last night in heels, first time. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Blood washed off the grill no worries and the gavvers'll never find the bodies.
We ate them.
;)

No testosterone for me, but like Vicky BH once said, 'Something something I like cars and have boobs, so what?'

Glad you're enjoying yourself :)

I like cars, boats, and planes just fine, but I'm not nutty about them. Neither am I nutty about CDing. I like dressing up and I like going out. But I don't obsess over any of it. Moderation in all things is good.

Warm regards,
Christina Nicole.

Moderation is good, but I did opt for the 400 HP supercharged V8 instead of the regular normally aspirated 300 HP version. Moderation doesn't mean driving like a monk.

This Friday and Saturday, I will be out and about as Phoebe all day on both days. It's our local Tri-Ess chapter's monthly weekend meeting time. In two weeks though, I am taking my motorcycle down to New Orleans to go riding around there with biker friends for several days. I don't put one "hobby" above the other, I just try to work my schedule to enjoy both.

I know how you feel Amelia. I recently became a Ford pensioner, so with the "employee" discount, I bought a Fiesta ST, hoping to sell it and buy another new one next September, without spending any more. Only 150bhp for me, but in a lighter shell, it's a real pocket rocket, and, on low profile tyres it handles too! Who cares about a harsh ride?

I also bought my real pride and joy last year too, a V8 Cobra replica. I've posted a picture before (post #11)

I find that things just kind of cycle. As summer comes around, my interests turn to cars as well. I'm a big fan of 60's muscle. Right now I have an old Barracuda that I'm working on. Money, lots of money, tends to go towards it and it becomes more difficult to convince my wife to let me spend on size 12 heels.

Sooner or later though, those heels take priority!

Hi Amelia,

As you probably know I used to live in the UK and when I did my thoughts used to turn to Fords like Sierra Cosworths and classics like that. Only thoughts, I've never owned one. Nowadays I live in America and my thoughts turn to Fords like the latest Mustang - you know that old adige that everything is bigger in America? Believe it! This baby has a 5.4 litre V8.:)

Amelia, YOU GO!! Congrats on the new car sweetie!! Thats really fabulous! I know that for me at this time in my life, expressing myself through what I wear is very important, when at other times, I was busy with other matters and hair and make up and my femininity took a back seat. This incredible part of myself (my femininity) is exactly what it is, whether in a dress, or in my heart! It is always there, so you might as well cruise in that awesome new car and enjoy every minute..Cheers, AMY

Do airplanes count? Not that I can afford to fly anymore.

I never did manage the nerve to CD while flying, though I did do some self portraits En Femme in front of some aircraft prior to 9/11/01. However, there is one person who DOES routinely crossdress while flying. Fortunately for his compatriots he was not En Femme the day his engine quit, forcing an off-airport emergency landing, and he made the newspapers. I'd love to meet him someday. I think maybe I first heard about him on this forum?

Obsess? Me? Obsess? Why not?

Hugs,

Bernice

My "toy" is a 2000 Mustang with a fuel and insurance friendly 3.8 V6. The wife wanted a Honda Accord. It was a lot more money, less comfort and power and appointments. I won. A buddy who drag races changed the chip and did a few other tricks to it (headers and exhaust) so it moves pretty good. Driving it in the winter is a real challenge so I try to avoid it as much as I can.

Still the wife would have me get rid of the car if she had her way. Wife vs Stang....... hmmm. Here's your luggage hon....:cheeky:

I drove a former coworker's SVT Cobra a few years back and it scared the hell out of me. (Go figure considering I used to ride a Honda V65 Magna which was a cure for constipation.) I like my Stang just fine.

In heels? Of course.

Kimberley.

I appreciate fine machinery. Had a Datsun 240Z that I never did redline in high gear. Got up to 140 mph on the speedometer a few times, but never did find out what the top end was. I had an awesome Buick Skylark, 350 hp, but started to float at 120 mph. The previous owner outran the RCMP pursuit vehicle ( a 427 chevy) a couple of times, so the car was known to the police. On one hundred mile trip, my ex was pulled over three times, filed a complaint. My last toy was a 1996 Camaro, with the LT1 engine (corvette) that the previous owner had installed the police pursuit chip in. He was in a small accident, probably under the influence, and the insurance company sold the car. Still had the chip. They were supposed to peak at 160 kph, but, had it up to 225 several times, but, like the 240, never did find the actual top end on the highway.
My current vehicle is my buddy, Dually, a 1995 Dodge One-ton with a cummins diesel. In 2002, I hauled RVs, mostly from Indianna and Oregon, mostly to Alberta. Did 240,000 km in 10 months. Loved it, but didnt make any money. Benefit: I am really familiar with Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, California, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

and I also have an older car that I run from time to time on the strip. It has gone better than 130 mph in the 1/4 at less than 10.50 seconds. For the uninitiated that transfers to 0 to 60 in slightly less than two seconds Its fun dragging and being in drag. ( Hmmmmm)
