I had the day off yesterday and spent the whole day en femme being a "domestic goddess" (doing housework etc). Well when my wife came home she surprised me by bringing me flowers! Yeah yeah, I know it's a stupid little thing, but I've always wanted someone to bring me flowers and even though I never told her that she somehow knew. It was just a cheap grocery store bouquet but if you ask me, they're the prettiest flowers I've ever seen. 281050

You have a sweetheart of a wife. Maybe you need to do the same for her also as a surprise when she doesn't expect it.

Nice story. I'd love it if my wife was receptive to me doing the domestic chores en femme. As a retiree with a working wife I usually do the domestic chores and cooking. It would be nice to get a pat on my ass.

I know you loved getting your flowers, especially from your wonderful wife. In a small way I know how you feel. Two years ago on valentine day, I was at a gas service station paying for gas at the inside counter fully dressed in my go to hair salon clothes. (where I was headed), the lady in front of me received a pretty plastic flower, my turn, I also received a pretty flower. I know it is a plastic flower, but it is the only flower I have ever gotten. I still have it. Give your wife a big hug for me. Marshalynn

Congrats Nicki. Helping with the housework is a great way to earn brownie points but the flowers really cap it off.

Same here. I think I'm gonna go get my wife some flowers right now. She really deserves some for putting up with me.

How super sweet!! Lucky! I too am going to go get my wife some flowers after being reminded how much a bouquet of flowers, or any other nice gesture, can mean to someone. I'm stoked for you, that's just such a great story and thanks for posting the inspiration.

Edit: Done! and thanks again for the idea. What a sweet story!

Micki. They're beautiful. I don't think that it's bragging when you are telling the truth.

Micki,

What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it.
So many lessons here for everyone with a CD life to share with others.

Micki,

It aint about the flowers, they may look ordinary..........

IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS....... :-)

I would treasure them if I were you.

I went for an early morning walk in Rotorua one year and the hospital had daffy dills growing on the grass out the front, but the wife had cornflakes and daffodils for breakfast after I had finished.

I have a tortoise called Rotorua, he smells but you soon get used to it.

A NZ joke only they would understand. :-)

Micki,

You're wife UNDERSTANDS you, accepts how much CDing means to you and shows her appreciation for what you did for her with flowers plus she really loves you.
