I just attended my 50th High School reunion, the last one I went to was 30 years ago and I only had 1 or 2 friends then. People would come up and small talk then look at the picture on the name tag and be confused for a moment then ask about it and then we would have a nice long talk it. These people would talk to others and then these would come over and ask questions, I became the center of attention, all positive, got invited to dance, guy's bought me drinks and the ladies to sit in on groups to reminisce about school.281373

Good for you! I'm not sure if I would even want to go be with those folks if I had covered as much ground as you have in becoming your authentic self. I remember going to my 10th where I was ignored and asked if I was the graduate or if my wife was. I'm not full time so they will be getting the same person, just 40 years older. My 50th is next month. I'll still be looked at as if I'm there as the spouse of the actual graduate.

Happy to hear you had such an enjoyable time, but you wouldn't catch me dead at a reunion, regardless of how I dressed. I can't imagine anything more depressing.

Peggie, lovely picture. Glad you got to go as the real you. I have never been to a reunion. I was rather shy and picked on in high school so I have never wanted to go.

My 50th will be in 2019! Not sure there will be one so many have passed on! I have lost contact with most of them! They of course have no idea and would probably be totally shocked if I showed up dressed! Hugs Lana Mae

Peggy,
You are my hero(-ine) of the day.
I would so do that in a heartbeat. The Wife may smack he upside the head for even thinking of it. But..... what a hoot that would be to attend en femme.
My 50th isn't until 2020.
You look stunning, btw.

Peggie you look wonderful, at least 20 years younger than the man you are sitting with. If that is your natural hair I'm so envious and if it's a wig, where did you get it? My 50th was three weeks ago and I didn't go. The last i attended was the 30th and it was already depressing. I got the booklet that they prepared for this one and 1/3 have died. The upside; it made me feel very fortunate.

My 50th is in 2021.

As it turns out, one of my good friends from HS is also a CD. I didn't know that until 3 years ago when I met her at Keystone. It wasn't obvious at first that she was anything other than some random girl.

We've talked about both going to the reunion en femme. I'm dure that the boy me would be remembered; I was kind of a brainiac back then.
