Just discovered Amazon's Echo Look! I think it was developed just for us! No more poorly composed, poorly, or out of focus selfies! How about this feature: Get a second opinion on which outfit looks best with Style Check, a new service that combines machine learning algorithms with advice from fashion specialists "?
This is an ingenious step towards Amazon's retail dominance! But, it might be a lot of fun! I'm not going to get overly paranoid about it.

That's utterly amazing! I'm afraid it would merely compound the apprehensions (paranoia?) I already have of taking photos, saving digital images and looking in the mirror!

I've just discovered a new device. It allows u to take photos of your entire body. I mean, full length. Not just your face. Incredible, huh?
Because of it's unique shape u can set it down most anywhere. Plus, it comes with a timer so u can walk away from it before it snaps your pic! No way, rite?
This amazing device is called a chimora. Or, something like that. There r stores that specialize in these things!:D

I can't imagine my wife saying "yes" to a video camera in the bedroom. Not to mention it being connected to the internet!
Once the voice recognition problems are worked out, they tweak the app to know the event you are dressing for and they improve on the speaker quality this device might become interesting.

Oh god, like we're not vain and self-absorbed enough already...

I have a bad enough time trying to convince myself I look like a passable woman. To have this service may kill my cross dressing experiences. The eye sees what the mind wants to see. Pictures never lie. Even when I am totally in male mode those pictures really wake me up to reality. I think I would just delude myself by twirling before a mirror,

I find Amazon invasive enough already. The idea of letting one of their Echo spy drones into my life is one step too far.

This subject is why I keep a piece of black electric tape over the camera lens on this computer. It just doesn't have the resolution or finesse of my Nikon D5300. The computer camera is so poor that normally I don't even use it for the Avatar photos here.
As for set up, walking away using a timer to take a photo, I do that with my cell. a Moto Z Force Droid version 7.
I also use a wireless release on my Nikon on a tripod, or my Olympia.

I agree. I think the potential for abuse by Amazon and other entities is too great.

Meh, I've been dressing myself for a while now. Don't need a machine to tell me how to do it.

I recently bought a cell phone adapter for my tripod and it was packaged with a blue tooth remote shutter release. Pairing the remote with my phone was extremely simple. Several are available on Amazon, for android or I phone and I think the adapter and remote together was something like $15-$16. No resetting timers, just click, click, click
