This evening I was at a church function at a church in a different town. This was an event to honor about 20 high school kids that had just completed a retreat. I didn't know any of the kids. Before the service everyone ate a potluck meal in the dining area. As the casserole dishes emptied out I would take them to the kitchen to wash them in the sink. There were other people in the kitchen as I did this. I was in "guy" mode wearing jeans and a T-stirt - but my hair is long. One of the teenage boys came over to the sink and said, "Here Ma'am, let me do that for you." So I thanked him and let him take over. Not only was he polite but he was also correct because I am a transgender woman.............Leanne
