I hope this is in the correct place for this. I am a male cross dresser, and I have a friend who just announced that they had changed gender from male to female. Is the term "We are Sisters" appropriate here? Or is the term "Sisters" reserved for "MTF and MTF transgender people" and "GG and MTF" only. Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks, Brenda

Call her what you want, as long as you call her friend. If she perceives her self to be female, use the appropriate nouns, pronouns around her. She luck to have a good friend like you.

I agree with Heidi, call her what you want.

You might get direct answers here about the "sisters" thing but it doesn't really matter. Nothing is reserved for anything.

Ask your friend what she wants you to call her.

The friendship is what is important. Ask her what she prefers.

Call her by her female name and don't make a big deal out of it she is just a friend.
