Hey all,

So I was reading a post in the beauty section and it just made me think and smile to myself.

I do love to let my mind wonder about all things feminine and when reading others stories/anecdotes/experiences it often sets my mind into a fantastic wonderland that just leaves me wishing, for a moment, that I can be living those wonderful thoughts for real.

Wether I do or don't I suppose I just wanted to say it's such a strange and magical feeling when your mind wonders down the feminine thought process.

I wonder if we influence each other to try new things without knowing/trying to.

Our lives are so exciting at times, I could pop right now!

Indeed, we are somewhat influenced by this site. And many things rub off or helps us to be who we are. Yes it is exciting.

MissSecret,
I called it the forum bandwagon, it's all too easy to jump on it and start living your life through someone else ! I had to give myself a few days break from here not long after I joined , I was trying to run at full gallop while only learning to begin to walk .

Your own situation is unique to you , you can't overlay another members lifestyle over it , CDing is part of your life you have to gear it to your circumstances .

Teresa,

Absolutely agree. My post is a snapshot of my mood at the time.

P.s it was your post that prompted mine :tongueout

I agree with Teresa, you certainly need to do your own thing, but when I read posts of people getting out and about it does give me an incentive to push myself a little further. After a little over a year on this forum I have done more than I have in the last 20 years.

I have no idea how women think. But, I know when I first arrived here, I dressing compulsively beyond anything I experienced in my previous 10 years of dressing!

Thank God some of this site has rubbed off on me and been an influence, othewise I would have crashed and burned long ago.
This site is not only supportive in the sense of being friendly and encouraging. It also provides great, intelligent education and information about "men who want to be women"; and it is delivered by thoughtful, wise and mature members.

If I didn't truly enjoy this (CD) or find it soulfully satisfying, I wouldn't do it.
I find it incredibly interesting and EXCITING, (as you state), that at my ripe age I can still discover myself, re-discover myself and even reinvent myself. So refreshing after the shelf life expired on my old life.

I know that the forum helped me accept this part of me and progress further than I ever thought I would. I have also made some friends through this forum some here in Pa and others in Colorado who have been instrumental in unleashing Nikki into the world.

There is no question that what we read and post on this site affects others that read our posts.

Oh my yes!

I'm going to date myself terribly here. When I first found the crossdressers area in the "West Hollywood" area of Geocities and could see webpages for other crossdressers I felt liberated. While the door to my closet was still firmly closed, the window to a wider world was open and the fresh air was invigorating, to say the least. Each new window on the world that opened after that; CD.com, Facebook, actually getting out at DLV and joining a local support group, all jiggled the lock and eventually that door opened for me as well. We find strength, inspiration and even motivation from our social contacts, in real life and on the web.

Add to that your experience where it ". . sets my mind into a fantastic wonderland that just leaves me wishing, for a moment, that I can be living those wonderful thoughts for real." and you are engaged in what athletes do to prepare for an event. Pre-visualization is that process where you move step by step through a process to reduce stress through a sort of repetition. Closing your eyes to imagine getting dressed and stepping out the door into the world often enough and when the time comes, it may just be easier than if you hadn't run it through your imagination multiple times.

It's almost self hypnosis and can be validating, or turned around and focused on negatives it can be something that keeps you behind a door nailed shut. You choose, but be careful, our minds are powerful things and as Tracii says, "Learn how to not let the pink fog overtake you."

i was so deep in the closet that i was scared to death to even just join this forum...
but joining was the best move i ever made. reading the comments from all of the

out into the public without this site, and now i go wherever and whenever i like! :)

I had been out a few times enfemme before I found this site but had been on a few of the not so nice CD sites.
I was so glad to find this place and get away from the porn type CD sites that are BDSM or mainly kinky fetish hook up places.
Having no fetishes or kinks I felt really out of place on many sites.

Yes, this site has rubbed off on me too. I even met up with another CDer for coffee, I would never had the opportunity for such a thing before. Thank you all! Brenda
