The origins of Halloween or Hallowed's Eve, the day preceding All Saints Day in the church, far belies how the day has evolved to its present form. Beyond celebrating the spirits of the lost, it has become a day of costuming, pretending and alter-egos.
In some ways it has become "OUR HOLIDAY", i.e.; "our" meaning the CD/TG community extending into the full LGBT world. It is a day for dress up. It's a day to try on that other personality. A day for pretend and not-so pretend.
For many of my Sisters on this forum it may be the only day of the year with a built-in excuse to put on your entire Femme Self. It might even be the only day where the world permits you that one adventure. For others it will be a great party day to let your inner woman roam free, and for many other CD/TG Sisters it will simply be another great day of being Yourself.
Here's wishing everyone a great day and night of dressing up. Be YOU. Be that inner you with joy. Let it be your day today.
