I have one X from about 10 years ago that has pics of one night when we got pretty drunk and I had to model her lingerie for losing a bet to her ( I purposely lost). Every once in awhile our paths will cross like they did the other night at a party. At one point when i was trying to be a bitt too funny she whispered in my ear that she still had the pictures of me and how funny it would be to see how people reacted to seeing me in her cute nighties, undies and dresses. She is sweet so I doubt anything will come of it but I can tell she loved the power she had over me by having those pics.
Has anyone had any pictures come back to haunt them ?

Not a problem for me. But I can see where it could have been. When my wife passed away there was to many concerned helpers in and out of my house so I like a dummy deleted and disposed of all of them and now I could almost cry thinking about them and the fun they represented.
Meh. If my fiancé showed somebody my pics she would regret it. I've got enough dirt on her to put off any potential future partner for the rest of her life muahahahaha

Well, if you count my ex wife's temporary supposed willingness to have me dress up and take pictures of me, and then use those same pictures as blackmail to take everything I owned during the divorce else she'd send copies of the pictures to my work, friends and relatives, yeah, I'd guess I'd have to say I'll NEVER allow pictures of me to be taken in girl attire ever again.
Don't take any pictures that you don't want posted up on the internet for everyone to see, unless you're ok with that heppening. This is the same advice we give teen age girls when their boyfriends want some naked pics. This isn't rocket science. If what you're looking for is some type of applause about how good you look as a woman, just use your imagination. I never understood the whole 'selfie' phenomenon.

Wow that is terrible ! Were the pictures really that bad that you could not just call her bluff or tell your friends you were just fooling around !

My ex-had pictures of me dressed, very modestly I might add. She published them twice in the local paper on two of my birthdays. Yes, I was the talk of the town for a few days. No one approached me directly. Just pointed glances and stares. I survived. This was over 20 years ago I did retrieved the originals from the paper before she did, on both occasions. I believe, she only had the ones I retrieved. Like mentioned above, things done in private and fun, can come back to haunt you.

Robbie,
I'm not sure if I would say it's a bad experience but when wearing my Union Jack dress ( as in Spice Girls ) the SA from M&Co took my picture, I asked her recently what she was doing with it , she replied showing customers ( CDers ?) who thought they didn't pass to prove they can ! I wasn't sure whether I was flattered or not I guess I should be when she was using them in that context .

Oh, Marcia, I'm so sorry your ex did that to you. That is one of the worst stories of a vindictive ex I've heard. I'm proud of you for powering through the situation. It always saddens me to hear stories of how hurtful and hateful some people can be towards those that they once supposedly loved. Thanks for contributing your story to the thread.

As many here know, my ex took a great picture of me that I nostalgically refer to as Exhibit "A".

The video I was featured in 3+ years has been shown on 3 continents to countless millions of people. Because they showed my face, despite promising not to, my immediate family went ballistic! (Paranoia runs in my ex's family).
But, to date? I haven't heard that anyone I know, or my family knows, has reporting seeing me in it!
Maybe watching guys dress up as women isn't as popular with vanillas as we think it is!?

My ex had a few photos of me, but fortunately I had some compromising photos of her that stalemated any potential blackmail.

No, there's no way this could have easily been done as a joke. They were dresses appropriate for a woman in her late 30's mid 40's to wear, and it would have had to be specially purchased in the huge and tall girl's shop. And I wasn't wearing a wig. And I had my nails polished. The final nail in my coffin was the six inch heels. In a size 15. Nope, back then this wasn't something easy (or cheap) to come by.

This is probably a pretty good sampling on the subject. As with every group or issue, there will always be some that have bad experiences. There are also many that have not had any problems. As with anything that is sensitive, you have to weigh the risks. I believe that people are becoming more tolerant and accepting and so the problems are, correspondingly, decreasing - but that does not mean that they have been eliminated for everyone . . . it is just progress.

I have never taken photos with a GF or wife (had two). Less to worry about.

Molested by a male, blackmailed by a female. Hmmm. Gee, maybe that's why I'm so reluctant to trust anyone.

Thank you Robbiegirl. You have raised quite a big issue. It may be a Crime if it constitutes "revenge porn"!
I note that in New South Wales where I live, there has been a recent amendment to the Crimes Act providing up to 3 years imprisonment for offences. This recent article from Australian Elle magazine gives a good overview:
https://www.elle.com.au/news/revenge-porn-finally-illegal-in-australia-13589
The definitions of "privates parts" in this Act includes-
"(b) the breasts of a female person, or transgender or intersex person identifying as female."
I also see that in the US, 38 States plus Washington DC, have laws relating to "revenge porn". Other US States have legislation pending.
As always we should think what the consequences could be.
