I just got through the last day off with another swipe at dresses I bought at GW. I had a blast on the 10 for $10 and 9 worked out real well. While sorting out my photos of the week I realized I had pictures of me in almost 500 different dresses. I often take 6 or 7 pictures, while dressed, then delete all but the best single picture. I have been doing this for several years now and have loaded them all to Flikr.

I just began to wonder, if this is an obsession with me, of course it is. Well how many pictures of dresses do you have saved away?

I occasionally take pictures, but only if I plan to post them here. I never leave any on my phone, though. I then delete them from every device, so my answer would be: none. I don't even have my profile picture that you see as my avatar!

I have two. Both taken from my visual point of view, so there's no facial shot there anywhere. One looking downward while in my cute maid's dress, the other, taken using a full length mirror of the view from the back. And from the back, I look like some poor maid turned into the hulk....not good. I keep it to remind myself NEVER to ever think I would pass, anywhere.

I have at least 1000 but I fear technology so I don't take any pics with my cell phone, I'm afraid with a slip of a finger I will send pics to all my contacts.
I take pics with a camera and put them on a secure memory card, l believe someone here had mentioned if I have an old phone with no database to use that phone for pictures.

Like Carla, I have filled about 12 SD cards with pics of Sherry. The last 2 were 32 GB cards. And, I'm already 1/4 thru my next 32 GB card started just before Halloween! My stories require reams of pics in various outfits and settings.:straightface:

Two weeks ago I bought a pair of photo lamps with daylight color temp. In two evenings I took about 150 photos to try them out. From the last ten years I have thousands of them. Fortunately the pictures were smaller in bytes in the beginning. Now they add to storage in a much higher rate.
Obsession? Not at all. Pictures are a good way of looking at myself from a new point of view. Besides - it is a nice technical side of it too. This is a combination from two pictures that both were taken in front of a mirror. The right part is mirror image, but from a different picture. It took me about one hour to pick and forge the two together. I had a nice time.

A lot? I don't count them. But pics of me as Ceera outnumber pics of me as a male by at least 20 to 1 over the last 3 years, since I came out. I take pics to see how I am progressing, and to get a slightly more objective look at what works and what doesn't with my clothing choices. And I take normal 'family activities and vacations' pics, since I go out and do things with my daughter while en-femme.

Probably all of the above as somebody else has mentioned already, but for me, it's validation. And, I'm an amateur photographer and Alesha is an easy, willing model. :D

Several hundred I think? Probably more than I should. Sometimes I use them for self critiquing after the fact and they have been quite helpful in that respect as I have made certain changes based on what I saw in the pictures that I missed at the time I was dressed. Some I keep because I know that over the years things will change and I may never be able to get away with that outfit again, so yes to some extent vanity comes into play. I'm sure there are other reasons too.

I have often wondered this. My SO has thousands of pictures and takes more every time out, every outfit needs numerous pictures. I guess I will never get an honest answer. My thought is that he wanted to be a movie star in another life.

Well, here's the wonderment from my point of view. I've flat out amazed my self at how realistically female I can appear at just the right angle, with just the right light and exactly the right distance. The camera really does lie. And that' sometimes a good thing.
Now video is a whole other matter and dimension. It's allowed me to work on eliminating the ape walk and smoother movements. And of course there's the souvenir thing.

Many. I am not sure, but I have 2.7 Gigabytes on my thumb drive. At 200 kB per picture, that would be about 12,000. Plus there are a few on my older primitive thumb drives.
I usually take pictures every week when I get my usual chance to be Jennifer. Could be worse. Pictures are so inexpensive these days--no need for film and development costs.
