Which first make up or wig?

Personaly I like the sudden change when my wig goes on.

I find it easier to appy makeup before Wig otherwise the hair gets in the way.

Always makeup first, then after the wig is fitted correctly I do the final makeup adjustements.

Wig cap first, then tape the eyebrows into an arch. Followed by makeup, and wig last.

Apply one end of transparent medical tape to the forehed, near the hairline, and pull it back to tape the other end to the wig cap. You'll want the tape from both sides to meet in the middle of the wig cap in a V shape. Where you want the arch in the eyes controls where to tape it to the forehead. Experiment. Note my wig has hair that comes over the forehed to hide the tape. Foundation is put over the tape as well.

I think we have a quorum here! Makeup before wig! I do, however, put on my lipstick after my wig. I just like putting on lipstick with all my hair cascading around me. I always do earrings last, too.

That's the way I do it too. You can't just jump in the shower to wash your wigs, so always makeup first.

Donna, have you any suggestions ref taping to lift up the sag down the cheeks, I mean between the nose and the cheeks. On the face I mean.:eek:

I use the tape trick also, it really changes your appearance. I use clear medical tape that you can get at any drugstore. To remove any residue after the tape comes off use wd-40 on a paper towel, works great.

Make up then the wig for me . As for the tape trick I use 3M transpore medical tape, it has alittle give and stretch to it. I also use it for taping my chest to give the effect of cleavage. Another wonderful product from 3M, designed to make a crossdressers life alittle easier.

I seem to be the odd one out.

I put my wig on first.

Then I do my make up.

It may be something to do with the fact that a GG can do her make up.

I assume there not wearing a wig most of the time.

Me too, always do make up first before putting my wig on. I just love the transformation I see when I pull on my wig and style it as I like. It makes so much difference. Without the wig I look like a bloke wearing make up, with it Im Gemma.

Shelly ...your not the odd one out ..I do the same ....I prefer too see my face with my wig on ..I pony it back ,,then do my face ..just too make sure my foundation is the right blend for my hair colour and I find since I usually go red ..it helps ta see the skin tone and contrast with the hair ...when done ..undo pony .. give my head a little toss ...let the hair fall in place ta daaaaaa ...love it that way :)
