I was informed today that we needed to head to town to hit the post office and fetch my youngest carpet criter home for awhile....aggravated me as I had just strapped on my boobs and stepped into my favorite slouchy maxi skirt. @#$& it. I went down and shaved close, swapped into my girl jeans (I quit wearing male jeans anyhow)
put on a cute pair of boots I just scored, long sleeved purple crew neck, and my new wig...and a necklace....threw on some lipstick like always....no foundation...no eyes...no mask to hide in....

And just went.

It was fine. One dude gave me a disgusted look....so I stared back at him like Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde right before she put a round in somebody....until he got uncomfortable and went away...

One lady tickled me....gave me a very confused kind of scared look until I gave her a big sunny smile and said hello...she looked relieved and smiled back.

It was my first time in public with one of my kids. My kids rock.

I can do this.

I always smile at the guys with the disgusted looks because I think it scares them thinking I am going to hit on them.
The big disgusted tough guys always run the fastest.
Glad all went well thats awesome !!

We don't tend to get the disgusted look down here, just the curiosity look.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is sometimes in too much of a hurry to do make up.

Sigh...New Zealand...if I ever get there it is going to be tough to get rid of me. Beautiful place.

My funniest one, as I was helping her pick up groceries that she dropped a lady said "'m so sorry when I first looked I thought you were a man dressed up. "

That really did my mind.

Made me smile a lot more though. :-)

Yes you can. In fact, it sounds like you totally rocked it. Awesome!
