So, in a surprising turn of events my wife and I talked a lot on Saturday. I’m not going to write every detail, but to highlight a few things:

It started when we were out together and she was shopping for makeup at one point. She asked if I needed anything (she knows I’m going to Keystone in March).

She bought me face powder and pink lipstick that I picked out.

We talked about one of our daughters having spent time with me as Alison.

I showed her my new purse, which I have loaded, and she went through everything. Makeup, mascaras, lipsticks, eyeliners. Nail polish, glasses, sunglasses. And we talked about them as she went through it all.

Later she was weeding out her closet and drawers and she let me go through everything before we set it out for charity. She really made some wonderful additions to my wardrobe and jewelry and she gave me a groovy little black handbag!

We acknowledged that our relationship is different now because of my crossdressing (which came up post-marriage), but we also reinforced our commitment to each other.

It was a very good night indeed!

Awesome! It's always great to hear of a couple managing to work through this challenge. ;)

(BTW, I hope you're not carrying all that makeup in your purse. All you need is whatever lipstick you happen to be wearing and maybe (maybe) a compact to touch up any shiny spots. )

Thanks so much everyone for the positive feedback and well-wishes. I really appreciate all the support.

And Pat, I have WAY too much stuff in my purse! I did get a good tip under the “clothes, shopping” threads to keep things in plastic baggies in case anything breaks, and I’m following that advice!
