Tonight is the first time that I can dress up with my wife's permission. I have been looking forward to this all week. I'm so excited and tomorrow my daughter and I are putting on a fashion show. It will be the first time she meets Emily. Anybody else dress up with their daughter?

Great news for you and it is nice this can happen- something to dream about.

My 30 yr old daughter says she is open minded and told her friends I was a crossdresser- and reported friendly support- 'He should write his memoir" and her English bf gave me Grayson Perry's book ' Descent of Man' which is an amazingly thorough and plain discussion of how masculinity as interpreted by the culture can become so toxic to everyone.

When shopping for her she asked me what I liked, but when I laid out an outfit of mine at home and showed it to her, and then proposed I wear it, she declined. I figure Dad archetype is too strong and useful still in some way- and I am reliably that, so I'm not messing with that role until she asks. I am no longer desperate to be known- as I go out fairly often now in clothes of my choosing, and that gives me space to be what works in my family relationships. I still ask my wife to reconsider every so often.

Other then your age, sex and that you CD, we know so little about you. Please share with us some background about you, such as how your wife became supportive and how your daughter found out Emily. We love good stories with happy endings.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I never went out with my step daughter, but I was able to dress when she was around, including when she had friends over. They were all in their mid-20s so I think it was appropriate.

My daughter is 35 and is an ultra liberal civil rights attorney, so I pretty well knew coming out to her would not be a problem. We’ve had a few girls’ days out together and she bought me a dress. So win-win, there.

I've hung out with daughters and boyfriends on the front porch.
I've often picked them up from work.
But never been in general public dressed with them.

My daughter used to go with me once in a while for dinner or clothes shopping while I was fully dressed. My daughter accepted me 100% from day ONE !
