Help how?
I presume you want help telling your boss that you want to transition. How you do that really depends on your relationship with your boss and his/her character. Ensure you are clear in what you want, and that you have any information to hand that they may want; an explanation of what being TG means, a psychiatrist's letter perhaps, etc. I'd recommend reassuring them that you don't want to upset anyone but you have to do this, and that you'll work with management to ensure the change is as smooth as possible. Then discuss a timescale with them, and how everyone else you work with will be told. See if they have any questions and answer them as honestly as you can. Above all, remember you are doing nothing wrong.

I am, of course, assuming that you are under some sort of specialist care, rather than just 'doing' this.

When I told mine, I said 'I'm transgendered, that means I have always felt like a woman, and I'm taking steps in my life to become that woman. One of those steps is to start living as a woman all the time, which is why I'm telling you this.' I was babbling at this point.
She said 'well it's not a suprise is it? We assumed it was a hobby. So you want to be a woman at work? Okay...'
Apart from details that was that. She assumed I meant from the next working day which was far quicker than I anticipated, but I was fine with that.

I hope that's a little help to you anyway.
Take care :)

Many factures must be weighed first.

How long have you worked for the company ?
What is your job requirements, (do you have direct contact with the public ?
Were you out at your last job ?
Are you openly out around your home and comunity ?
etc.....

If you were out at your last job, or your openly out in your comunity, the longer you have worked for a company, the more they know about you, whever you told them or not. They may already know more than you think.

If you want to transition at work and your in direct contact with their customers, it may be something they are not willing to handle, as you are the face that the customer will remember as the company's face.

If your not in the public eye, just play it by ear.

If you only want them to know, so you can fill more freedom, then ask some filler questions first, to see how they fill about gays.

Good luck.
