When I viewed my new home some weeks ago with the estate agent I was explaining why I needed a conservatory , I wanted to run an art group but added that I was TG and wished to do it as Teresa. He wasn't from the local office and was only standing in for the weekend , so I didn't know if he would pass any of these comments on.

Now I have the property I have enough left from the sale of my old home to buy a second property to rent out to supplement my pensions . A lovely blond girl in the local office gave me the details of a suitable property ( which I am now buying ) and on the front she had written my first name and surname but half crossed through in front of it was written , " Miss !" . So I queried it with her if the other agent had said something about my TG comments and she had added that title in fun . It transpired she didn't know but now she does , so I added that she may be doing business with a blond next time as I left the office !

Oh she was told allright Teresa! Wouldn't have been polite or professional to admit it though. Estate agency is the most boring job on the planet, it's great when an 'interesting' customer comes along to give the bored office staff something to talk about. You now owe it to her to go back in that blond wig, it will make her day. As soon as you leave she will turn to the others and say "you see, I told you I wasn't making it up". :)

Wether she knew or not ( which I think she would have had to know because the office staff has to gossip) it was probably done as she wasn't thinking or not having been around Trans people. She may not have know the proper way to address you. She started with Miss then another office staff said you can't write that that you would know the guy that showed the property was talking about you. I wouldn't read a lot into it though as you got what property you want and wether or not it was a mistake or they were talking the property will be yours.

Glad to see things going so well. I certainly feel you should go as your femme self the next time. After all, this was a big driver in initiating your move to a new home, a new start. So get out there and interact as Teresa. The more you do it, the more comfortable you'll feel, the more natural you'll become.

As for this second property, will your tenants know you as Teresa, as your drab persona or will you do all the letting through the agents?

That is a good question, it's only a short drive from the property to the Urban Hotel where we now meet , maybe it might be interesting to have a side bet, the young male tenant could easily work at the hotel or the surrounding area .
