Hi Krista,
My suggestion would be to rethink your decision, surely it it better to be amongst like minded people who do share your feelings and passions than to be on your own.Give it another whirl girl.
Best Wishes Jill:hugs: :ukflag:

You can always start a topic on what you would like to talk about. I seldom get into the "What are you wearing" threads, not that there is anything wrong with them.
I would give it a little longer. I have found the people on here to be understanding and responsive to any issues that I may have.
Whatever you decide all the best, KS.

Apparently you didn't read, for example, the thread discussing Nietzche :)
Really, Krista, nobody minds your taking a break from the forum. I've enjoyed your posts. But the way you phrase it, it comes across a little like saying, "you're a bunch of dummies." Hopefully that's not what you mean.
There is a wide range of perspectives here. There have even been recent threads complaining of the very thing you mention.
Most importantly, you or anyone is free to start a new thread. In fact,
your opinion is all the more important because it is different from others.
May I ask a simple favor? Can you give us an example of a subject that you think should be discussed but aren't? You mention feelings, but can you be mores specific?
Maybe the forum just isn't meeting your needs or interest right now. That's cool.

Feelings!
Nothing more than Feelings!
I luv that tune! Got to tell you I kinda like it here! Still a newbie but people sho are keen to listen to me! Now that in it's self is why I'm here! Sometimes I think I'm a little to weird for this site but I'm just trying to dash a little of my spice into the big paisley mixing bowl! So how's about giving it somemore of yours if you want deeper thought give us some girl!
I pour my small little heart out at times and usually it does not go unanswered! Though I'm still challenging our girlfriends to get a little wierder. Let their wigs down!
We are like minded and our passion for panties sometimes rule our train of thought! Oh shiny Lycra! MmMmM! Just like that! I guess that is jsut a common thread. Some of us are here because dressing is fetish and sexual! We often talk about what we like.
Stay with us and I will bring a healthy helping of lycra, tissues and my life can make you laugh and cry. Sometimes even in the same breath!
Luv to luv ya!

I don't think I've been around here long enough to see the pattern you mention, only 10 days or so. So far it's still compelling reading and I've found plenty of times to put in a word of my own. There are some profound things going on here.

There are quite a few different boards and forums around with different attitudes to them. Keep you eye out and you'll find one, or two or three, you'll like. Nothing wrong with being a part of multiple groups.

I tend to favour subjects abit more beefier as well,Ialso enjoy the more light and fluffy posts as well.
I have to say though,I'm constantly amazed at the conservatism, displayed in these threads, for a community that says,"Look this is what we are",our sense of adventure.fun and rebellion ends there.one small example of this conservatism is,objection to the word"tranny",by some, here in Oz,"tranny"is accepted largely,of affection and humour to cders, harmless.Yet,to many, especially across the Pacific,it's offensive.
Good fun to all...fal

Geez, whining about the types of threads and, yet, nothing of "substance" has been offered.
Krista, you want threads about feelings? Well, why not stop complaining and submit one yourself. Believe me, if your thread has substance, it will elicit much feedback.
The world is full of diversity, as is the range of members here on the forum.
Some of us like to write about feelings, the social and familial implications of what we do and think, the causes/explanations/solutions of the many aspects of transgenderism, and, yes, what panties we like to wear (By the way, I like almost all :) )

Kind of ironic really that on the first page of the MTF section there are NO posts about what type of underwear one wears!!!! (at the time of MY post)
And even more ironic...... where's your threads regarding feelings??? I don't see any. Instead of moaning about what you would like this forum to be, start writing instead. There are hundreds of indepth threads here regarding members lives, their problems, their feelings...... I guess you didn't look hard enough. Also, this forum has numerous boards, not just MTF..... you won't find threads about what you are wearing in the lounge, or the private forums or the trivia forum..... need I go on?

well this forum is made up by the people here the member's input is what starts or keeps a topic going ...and if your waiteing for some one else to do it for you so you can have something of intrest for you ... then perhaps it's not the forum thats letting you down , but rather it's you that did not put a little effort in the forum to "get something you were looking for" ......
i am not going to tell you go leave here .... nor am i going to beg you to stay ... we all as in life or here get out of it what we put in it.....

Well all I can say is that this forum has been like a godsend to me since I joined just over a year ago and I think this is one of the best TG forums on the net and far better than most. There are a few "what are you wearing" threads yes but then this is a site for crossdressers.
I have found this forum very informative and the girls very helpful to me in perfecting my look (though I still have a long way to go) and helping me come to terms with who and what I am.

I don`t post often and usually just like to play around in the picture thread, but rarely a day goes by when I don`t pop in for a quick look. If I wern`t so lazy I would probably post more but I guess I must be content.
A quick check of this thread and I find many relavent, serious topics as well as frivolous, fun ones.
When I posted a couple of queries about my personal, deep feelings I recieved an abundance of satisfying replies, so as has been said already; you only need to ask the right questions to get the right answers!
Well done girls on a fabulous, huge, supportive, funny and insightful forum!
You may think me a stranger but I`m really not.
Love,
Alison.
P.S; I usually prefer not to wear any panties:D

Same, without it I probably would be feeling excessive guilt and perhaps doing another purge. But I have grown and understood that I am not alone. The other threads such as the "What are you wearing" threads only adds more to the fun of the atmosphere here...because we can't be depressed all the time!

I like to think of this as a community of folks of various exotic types, who are comfortable in each others' company. For many of us, being openly "who we are" and being comfortable in a community is something rare and precious in our experience.
We have the serious alongside the frivolous and the bizarre. Think of a bunch of neurosurgeons at a weeklong conference, gathering informally at night to socialize - surely there will be talk of medicine, but just as surely there will be a whole range of other things going on, card games, joke-swapping, whatnot. The cameraderie doesn't depend on limiting discussion to what brought the group together, indeed, a limitation like that would make everything all the time seem like work. Just my 0.02

I have a feeling i need to start a thread on PANTIES!! :p
Seriously though, if you don't like the threads start one of your own. Your not the only one who gets fed up with panty threads. I post mostly in the Lounge anyway so that i may get to know the people here better besides crossdressing.

I am a menber of a few forums that in have interest in. I have found that each of them tend to repeat the same threads over and over. This has not kept me from being a member or caused me to leave.
You know, many of these threads you see over and over are due to new members who have not seen the older threads. They need support as much as you or I. Perhaps you should extend yourself a little more in the direction of helping others with your experience and expertise. Then post some threads that deal with more issues that interest you.
I don't think you will find a forum that will not tire you of repeated threads.
Good luck and we will miss you.

Sorry you feel that way. I have been checking out online groups, forums, etc. for nearly a decade now and have yet to find one that has as nice a balance between the fluffy and the profound. I for one am thankful to have found such a terrific family of girls and GGs to share my thoughts with.
You are right, there are plenty of "pantyhose vs stockings" and "who makes your favorite bra" threads. (For me, stockings and La Perla, respectively.) Bear in mind that for many of us this is our only medium for communication with other CDs - and for many of us CDing is predominantly an erotic activity. I'd be surprised (and bored silly) if every thread touched on feelings, metaphysics and deep topics. That said, I enjoy and welcome the balance brought to this forum by our girlfriends who are dealing on a much deeper level with questions of feminine identity.
Enough from me. I do hope that you find a group that suits your interests better. As a final bit of advice, you might want to check out the yahoo group "The Successful Crossdresser." That might be more to your taste.

Krista, not sure the type of reaction you want, but if you, like others have suggested, check out all the "rooms" here, and be honest, I'm pretty sure you will get sincere, thoughtful responses. Give it a chance, or don't, but that is up to you.

I really do not know what to say here. I enjoy reading and posting here so much even when the topics don't seem to fall into my interests. Sure there are the What are you wearing posts but I see plenty of threads discussing feelings and all the other concerns each of us has. This site is an education and more than that, support for each of us who appreciates it. Since I have admitted to myself that I am transgendered and found groups like this, I am truly happy with myself for the first time in my life. Without people like all of you here on the forum and those I have met in other places, I would still be keeping the shoes company in the closet.
Krista65, I urge you not to give up on us. Participate if you can. We need each other's support, yes, yours too. And if you have burning issues that you can't ask about here, I hope you are seeing a really good gender therapist or have somebody else you can talk to face-to-face.
As for me, I hope I can be of as much help to others here as they have been to me.
Highest regards,
Sharifemme

Krysta,
This site has thousands of members and threads get posted based on whatever the members happen to be thinking about at the time. Sometimes it is something frivolous and sometimes it is very serious. I've seen a number of real dramas played out here over a period of months where people have had to deal with getting "caught" in their crossdressing activities by their wives (or others close to them), or telling their children about it, or just getting the courage to talk about their personal issues. If you have some serious issues, bring them up and the membership will respond in a thoughtful and caring way.
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you well and hope that you find whatever it is you are looking for in your life.
