View Full Version : Dream a Little Dream
Hello all!
So my wife told me about a dream she had the other night. We were out, I was dressed, and we were with several other cd'ers. It sounded like some type of club. In the dream, I had left her alone. When she found me (in another room?), I was surrounded by cd'ers who were doing things like brushing my hair, fixing my make up, things of that nature. This dream had her somewhat upset. She came to the conclusion that it's because she doesn't want my dressing to become more important than her. I get it.
Don't worry, I consoled my little peanut, and assured her that it would never happen.
After all, it's because of her openness and understanding, I'm able to be myself. Not just when I dress, but in general. I can just be me.
But I must ask, where is this awesome cd'ers hangout? There was no mention of it in the handbook.

How liberal is Massachusetts? I'm going out on a limb and say more than Arkansas but less than California. I'd bet big that there are many places you can go where its Live and Let Live and you can be accepted. If you own it, people will buy it. Just be yourself, not over the top and those around you will be like Not A Big Deal.

It's in the footnotes. Just ask Elle (Legally Blonde).
Did you read all the footnotes?
It could also be written in invisible ink (like lemon juice). Just hold it up to a bright light.
But seriously, I'm in a big group of local crossdressers in DC. I know that you have some in Mass.

Ah yes, dream interpretation. Something that's an exact science. Right-o.

I just returned from a big T event in Vegas last week. It was about my 17th of these. If T girls do what u described? I've never seen it! Maybe they do that if they hook up in private?:hugs:
Is that what u want? Maybe that's what your SO is worried about!
Me? All I would like is a little face to face real time interaction with others like me, Doc. I don't think she is afraid of this dream actually happening. She just has an active imagination. And like I said, she wants to make sure she's the most important thing in my life. Pretty cut and dry.
Her dreams are usually very vivid. And she remembers everything. I find them interesting as well as amusing sometimes. I, on the other hand, very rarely remember anything. I have a difficult time getting to the last stage of sleep.
On many occasions, my wife has been (jokingly) angry with me the next day for something I did in one of her dreams. We have a good laugh. So this dream was no different. It's just the first time cd'ing was involved.

I lived in Mass until about a 15 years ago, women in Mass are liberal in their politics, not their private lives. Having moved further south, women are much more open, accepting and friendly.

I have given up trying to interpret dreams.
If I have a good dream I just enjoy it. :-)

I’m a lifetime Mass native-all 49 years of my life. I agree with Jamie about Massachusetts women with politics vs day to day lives. Probably worse are the guys. One guy got called out at my work because he knew what a pixie haircut was. How’s that for extreme? I would love FaceTime with other cders, but not at the cost of my or my family’s privacy or safety.

Your wife may have had that dream or it may be a plan to talk to you about your dressing and tell you her concerns. You never know.
I can honestly say no, Krisi. My wife doesn't operate that way. She doesn't have it in her. If she has concerns about anything, she tells me. No bs with us

If you come to one of our monthly meetings and your wig is a mess, someone will brush it for you. I've also had CD friends apply my nail polish and there's one that always needs someone to zip her dress! We're just helping each other be pretty :) and going out to a club after the meeting is optional.
The dream doesn't sound like fantasy to me at all.

Are you near Watham? You might check out the Tiffany Club (TCNE.org ) I've only been there once to help one of the organizers but people I have met speak very highly of it and it is the organization that runs First Event.

Samm if you find the hangout let me know. I live out in West Texas and I think they still hang CD here out alright in the town square. Not really hang me but sure would probably have to move if the town found out. Lol
I don't put much stock in dreams but sounds like your wife is more than open and accepting to you CD.
Pat, yes I've been there once back in October of last year. I plan on going next Saturday may 5th to hopefully meet up with a couple of other forum members. It's their Saturday open house, so it's only a 2 hour window. You should join us!
Jaylyn, yes my wife is awesome. She just doesn't want to be second to anything. She knows I'd like to get out more than the one time we visited Tiffany Club. She has actually made some suggestions for future possible outings.

Actually, in some ways, it is here on this site. I am sure that I am not alone doing this, but I have met with a few girls from here and helped them with makeup and even gone wig shopping with some to help them achieve the look that they have been dreaming of for years. I just love sharing what I have learned over the decades. I think the thing I love the most is seeing someone look in the mirror and finally see themselves for the first time as they thought they could never be.
