Hi Girls,

Was just reading a story about 3 RGs who have a serious shoe shopping addiction. One said the most she has ever paid for a pair was £800 (about $1300). Just wondering what the most you have paid for a pair is.

My most expensive are my black knee boots which were £65 (about $100), they were reduced from £100.

Most I've paid for a pair of shoes is £20.00, and the most i've paid for boots was £30.00, they were reduced from £95...
Cheapest pair of boots were my flat brown distressed leather with faux squirrel fur trim for £16.00, and they were reduced down from £75.00

I never pay full price for any shoes...

HMMMM, I think about 20 or 25 dollars but most 5 to 10 dollars and some 2 to 3 dollars. Honey, Sharifemme from redneck country knows how to shop the sales! I did buy a few pairs of used ones from 50 cents to 2 dollars.

£90 for a pair of brown Victorian style. In fact I'm wearing them right now! Best £90 I ever spent, I just wish I could wear them out and about because they're perfect.

The most I've paid for shoes is $200. I think for boots was $190. I love to shop Neiman-Markas last call and off Saks. One can get great designer shoes for a fraction of the retail price. It is hit or miss as to what is available, as the stock is constantly changing. I have gotten designer shoes originally priced at over $600 for the $150 range. When I am out enfemme, gg's do notice designer shoes or purse, and they will comment and complement.

If memory serves me right,
about $40 dollars for a pair of ankle boots....
and about $35 for a pair of high heel slings with a 3" heel.
Most of my other shoes have come from Payless Shoes, and I don't recall paying much over $25 for any of them.

Maybe $8 or $4. I only get womens shoes from thrift stores, as I don't have the courage to buy new. I only have about 7 shoes.

I limit myself to new shoes/boots only, an agreement with my wife. Her shoes are too small for me. I buy mostly online clearance or Kmart.

I have 2 pairs of boots, tan leather knee high with 1 inch heel, $12 US (Amerimark web clearance), knee high microfiber leopard print with 2 1/2 inch heels $21 US (Roamans closeout with an online coupon).

I have 12 pairs of shoes, mostly pumps, most expensive $18 US for silver 2 1/2 inch heels. 4 pairs of pumps came on sales from Kmart for $5 - 7 US each. My favorite online hunting grounds for shoes are the clearance sections of Old Pueblo Traders, Amerimark, and Blair.

My usual price limit on shoes is $15 US. I was looking for silver pumps for over a year, so I spent a little more on them.

Gosh, I feel so cheap. I have spent about 20 dollars not counting shipping, for my most expensive pair. So say it was about 30 dollars max for them. The other eight pairs were less than that.

I buy shoes at Ross and TJ Maxx, usually up to $75.00 USD,my Lowa combat boots cost $375.00 USD,the Brit SAS uses them, damn good boot.Sometimes I buy from Newport news,I never have a problem with the fit, womens 9 1/2,yes when I shop department stores,I do try them on,here in the heartland of the American Taliban, they stare at me like deer staring into high beams, like the receptionist at the veterans hospital here did when I wore my nine west 4 inch heels to clinic.

About $45-60 so far for most of my pumps, platforms, etc. Right now I'm looking at some wood platforms that are about $70 and cork wedges about $100. These are 6" cork wedge ankle straps, and supposedly they're "full cork," not like some with a cork look-alike fabric wrapped around them, so I guess they'd be worth it! Come to think of it, if anybody has this (http://www.mayashoes.com/FULLCORK.JPEG) one, they can tell me for sure!

For those of you in the USA, consider Payless. Their shoes are not exactly marvels of quality, but how often do you actually wear them and how much wear are you going to put on them?

In addition to the prices, and the sales, I love the fact that Payless carries a number of attractive designs in wide widths. I thought I'd never be able to find heels that fit me until I found a pair in 10W. What a revelation!

A couple of weeks ago I was looking in the local Payless store and found a lovely pair of huarache style sandals with 2.5" heels for $20. Then I noticed 3.5" cork wedge ankle-strap sandals, perfect for summer, for $20. Then I saw the buy one, get one half-off sale, and had to have them both.

Still waiting for a great pair of boots to fit my wide and high feet, though.

The most I ever paid was $195 for a pair of Stuart Weiztman pumps at Off5th.

Generally though, I usually buy shoes in the $30-100 range. I used to do the Payless thing, especially when I was in college and had no money, but the quality between even a $30 shoe and the shoes from Payless is substantial. I was on a mission a couple of weeks ago to find a pair of cork wedges to go with a long brown peasant skirt I bought, and went into Payless since they had a shoe like I wanted displayed in the window. Looking closely, they were just nasty. I finally found what I wanted at the Nine West Outlet, $45 marked down from $70. Spent a little more, but got a MUCH nicer shoe.
