I went for my second set of glamour shots. Here's how it went:

I called ahead about two months in advance to book the date. I let them know I wanted the photo session for myself and I was a cross dresser. Having been the same place as my first glamour shoot, I recognized the woman's voice. She was an americanized-latino woman with just a touch of accent. I asked for the latest appointment in the day to give me the opportunity to go for a drive after the session.

The two months took forever to come but finally arrived. My appointment was for 4:30 in the afternoon. I showered and shaved really well, then ironed my wardrobe and brushed out my wigs.

When I arrived at the studio, I was greeted by a young woman who escorted me to the makeup chair. Her name, coincidentally, was Amanda, and she was the makeup artist. Not being completely satisfied with the first session's makeup I prepared a "portfolio" of some of my favorite pictures so that she would have an idea of what I looked like made-up and what I was looking for. As we flipped through the book, Simone, the lady from the phone and also the photographer came over and we discussed the outfits briefly.

I sat in the chair and Amanda got started on the makeup. She was nice enough but she didn't talk except to tell me to close my eyes or look here or whatever. Before I knew it, she was done and it was time to dress up. We decided to start with a black outfit of satin top, mini skirt, and black pantyhose and then go to the lighter ones later. It seemed like it took forever to get dressed because I had many brand new things to open up and put on. I also decided not to do any pre-dressing at home. I put on two new pair of opaque tan tights topped with black pantyhose. Then a new girdle and bra, topped off with a black mini skirt and black blouse. I threw on my black pumps and headed out wigless. Amanda put the short black wig on me and styled it a little. As we were choosing a pair of earrings Simone came out. She looked me up and down with approval. “Very dominatrix,” she said.

Simone and I went into the photo studio. She posed me this way and that. “Stand here, look here, put your hand like this.” She was an attractive woman and was into her work. A few times, she modeled the pose for me and she looked good. As she took the pictures, she made little comments like “that’s a good one, very nice, great picture.” She was very supportive and relaxing. After about a dozen pictures, I changed into knee high stiletto boots and we took a few more.

My next wardrobe change was a different black skirt, tan pantyhose and my silver blouse. Amanda changed my wig to my regular brown and styled it. Finally, my last change was all white. White shiny tights, white skirt and jacket and an off-white blouse with the blonde wig. I asked her which shoes would be best and showed her 3 pair of white shoes. She seemed impressed with the ones I brought and asked where I got them. (online at www.pierresilber.com) We chose the white pumps with the gold spikes.

In all, she must have taken about 60 pictures. After the session she told me it would take about ten minutes for the previews to be ready. I was tired so I decided not to got out in drag and cleaned up during the wait. Amanda took me into a viewing room and set up a slide show for me to preview. It took quite a few minutes to go through once. We then narrowed down the pack to 15 pictures of which they were going to print for me. The package I chose was 15 8x10 prints of 15 different poses and that came out to around $450. I was prepared for the price so I wasn’t shocked.

Very nice pics! Was this the Glamour Shots that's in most of the malls? Every now and then, I get an e-mail message from them for a so-called "free" shooting session. I'm sure it's anything BUT free, but it's nice to know they do such good work AND they're CD friendly!

Hi Amanda,
I very rarely criticise anyone, especially the lovely ladies on this site but if your boobs were only half the size you would be a real corker. Sorry.

You must be a boob man/gurl,you really should try a "low profile" boob next time because otherwise your photos are great.:o

Super shiny hose are "out", try matte, it would look nicer. Unless those hose are to cover leg hair, in which case the shimmer might be hard to avoid

Also, only nurses can get away with wearing white hose.

I agree on the boob thing, cut the size down, it would look nicer.

No this was an individual studio. From what I understand, at the Glamour Shots the free photoshoot is free to sit but you can't have the pictures until you pay. Although I think they're cheaper for the pictures.

As for the boobs, When I go out in public, I definitely take them down a few sizes (to a 40D) from the glamour shots size (40DDD). My Avatar is a 40H. If I'm dressing for the passability, I go smaller. If I'm dressing for the feel, I go bigger.

Cool pics. I personally am not into the whole glamour shots thing, but it is always cool to hear about being treated well out and about.

Now, why couldn't she get as good of treatment in here? At no point did she ask what you thought of her look. She didnt ask for critisism of her chest size. To make jokes about it is just plain rude. I thought this was a support group?

Sounds like a great time, Amanda. So, I assume, Simone was ready with the wide angle lens?

Amanda,
Sounds like you had a great time. Amazing how long two months is to wait when you have something fun waiting at the end. I think the glamour shots are great, and the ladies sound like they were very professional and helpful. Great photos. Regarding the boobs, you have to make your own choices. If we left our dressing choices up to a vote, none of us would be allowed to wear what we like. Good for you!

Being nosy, how much and what kind of hoops did you have to jump through to get that done. From taking your clothes there and all? I mean what questions did you ask them on the phone etc. I'd be like having no Idea of what to ask.

Wooo pretty girl.

I've thought about going to a pro but haven't explored it much as yet. It seems to have been a great experience of you! I would like to try it as the Glamour Shots my daughter had done for graduation were fantastik (however, she is much more photogenic than I am)

I'm an amatuer photographer so I've helped my wife take a few shots on one of our trips out and about. Outdoors, in the shade, you get as good diffuse lighting as in an expensive studio. This was my blonde blue eyed stage. What do you think?

I called ahead and asked to make an appointment. And I asked if it was OK if I could take the pictures in drag. I don't fem my voice so there was no doubt about my gender. They had no problem at all. She didn't even give me any special conditions to it. They just treated it business as usual. She simply said to bring a wig if I had one and a few favorite outfits. They were quite professional about the whole thing. And I hear that is pretty much the norm for the business. They've told me that they do have other CD's that come in occasionally.

Hi Amanda:

I'd like to share my personal opinion with you about your glamour shots. First off, congratulations on your photo session and having the "nads" to do that.

I like you in the darker wig, looks possibly brunette, and I love the makeup job on your face. Looks natural, simply because it was applied by a GG. Your poses are lovely and femme. But...I agree with the other ladies on this forum...try reducing your breast size.

I am 5' 9" tall and wear a size 38B breast form with hip shapers. The person who sold the hip shapers told me something that made sense. I was told that you need to even out your proportions to look "natural". Because males have broader shoulders, the hip shapers were needed to give the curvy look and to bring the hip width out even with my shoulder width (standing straight looking at a mirror). Then turning sideways, I was told to have breast form size to equalize the protrusion of the butt pads behind me (standing sideways, looking into a mirror). Picture the sideways look with butt projection behind you, breastform projection in front of you. I had originally chose 36C breastforms figuring these were BIG enough. Well, I was given a 38B pair of forms and upon wearing them and sizing up everything in the mirror, both sideways and frontways, all the proportions came out just great. Hope this helps. Now, you don't have to listen to my advice...after all its just friendly sharing. Some ladies just like big boobs, but honestly...the first thing people notice about your photos are the HUGE boobs sticking out. Sorry...I mean nothing mean...try some size 36's or 38's the next time you take photos, I think you will enjoy them much better for their look. Other than that...you look just great in your photos. I'd like to do it some time myself...if I could work out the courage to do it. Thanks for the inspiration.

In friendship, Dandy:happy: ;)

Sally: You look nice and quite natural in your two photos. I like the second one better, seems more relaxed. Your lip curves are beautiful. See...us senior cd's CAN have more fun.

Warmly, Dandy
