I went for my second set of glamour shots. Here's how it went:
I called ahead about two months in advance to book the date. I let them know I wanted the photo session for myself and I was a cross dresser. Having been the same place as my first glamour shoot, I recognized the woman's voice. She was an americanized-latino woman with just a touch of accent. I asked for the latest appointment in the day to give me the opportunity to go for a drive after the session.
The two months took forever to come but finally arrived. My appointment was for 4:30 in the afternoon. I showered and shaved really well, then ironed my wardrobe and brushed out my wigs.
When I arrived at the studio, I was greeted by a young woman who escorted me to the makeup chair. Her name, coincidentally, was Amanda, and she was the makeup artist. Not being completely satisfied with the first session's makeup I prepared a "portfolio" of some of my favorite pictures so that she would have an idea of what I looked like made-up and what I was looking for. As we flipped through the book, Simone, the lady from the phone and also the photographer came over and we discussed the outfits briefly.
I sat in the chair and Amanda got started on the makeup. She was nice enough but she didn't talk except to tell me to close my eyes or look here or whatever. Before I knew it, she was done and it was time to dress up. We decided to start with a black outfit of satin top, mini skirt, and black pantyhose and then go to the lighter ones later. It seemed like it took forever to get dressed because I had many brand new things to open up and put on. I also decided not to do any pre-dressing at home. I put on two new pair of opaque tan tights topped with black pantyhose. Then a new girdle and bra, topped off with a black mini skirt and black blouse. I threw on my black pumps and headed out wigless. Amanda put the short black wig on me and styled it a little. As we were choosing a pair of earrings Simone came out. She looked me up and down with approval. “Very dominatrix,” she said.
Simone and I went into the photo studio. She posed me this way and that. “Stand here, look here, put your hand like this.” She was an attractive woman and was into her work. A few times, she modeled the pose for me and she looked good. As she took the pictures, she made little comments like “that’s a good one, very nice, great picture.” She was very supportive and relaxing. After about a dozen pictures, I changed into knee high stiletto boots and we took a few more.
My next wardrobe change was a different black skirt, tan pantyhose and my silver blouse. Amanda changed my wig to my regular brown and styled it. Finally, my last change was all white. White shiny tights, white skirt and jacket and an off-white blouse with the blonde wig. I asked her which shoes would be best and showed her 3 pair of white shoes. She seemed impressed with the ones I brought and asked where I got them. (online at www.pierresilber.com) We chose the white pumps with the gold spikes.
In all, she must have taken about 60 pictures. After the session she told me it would take about ten minutes for the previews to be ready. I was tired so I decided not to got out in drag and cleaned up during the wait. Amanda took me into a viewing room and set up a slide show for me to preview. It took quite a few minutes to go through once. We then narrowed down the pack to 15 pictures of which they were going to print for me. The package I chose was 15 8x10 prints of 15 different poses and that came out to around $450. I was prepared for the price so I wasn’t shocked.
