How many of you girls look at a GG and say "Damn, wish I was wearing what she was." I noticed myself doing this today when I saw a GG in a nice long flowing skirt and matching top. She had on a fantastic pair of conserative pumps too. Damn I was envious.

Always. My only interest in girls, these days, is in noting what and how they wear their clothes, how they acyt and talk and then try to copy them as close as possible. Don't want a girl, want to be a girl.

I'm sorry but Kmart and target are no place to see any nicely dressed women. You need to go to higher end stores if you want to see any decently dressed women then you rairly see any skirts or dresses. We have a steak house here that is high dollar and untill about twenty years ago the waitresses ( waitestaff now defeminised) wore kinda tight really short black dresses ( just covered their bum ) and three inch heels. Now they wear white shirts with a tie and black pants yuck!

Yeah I know Joy,
We RGs are always getting slammed for not dressing feminine, but if you had to work all day running around a restaurant dressed in high heels and a short skirt you'de soon know about it. I used to be a barmaid and high heels are definitely a no no. We tend to dress practically for work and get dressed up to go out. Afterall if you dress up every day the novelty soon wears off specially if your uncomfortable and you got some hairy arsed guy oggling your legs and bum.
Spoil sport aren't I.
Take care

great point, and GG's should never be "slammed" for not dressing up, anymore then guys shouldn't be slammed for not wearing tuxes more often, or all the time!
I think cd's wish GG's would dress more for reasons of wanting to see how they look, move, and act when dressed more then for the sexual attraction...even though that too, is motivation for many. We like to see how clothes fit and move on Women, how their makeup accentuates their faces and accentuates their femininity, how their bodies move when in tight and flowing skirts and dresses, how they sit, stand, and walk...look from all angles, eat, move their hands, facial expression, etc...
Moreso then Most men, we realize how much work it is...how painful the heels are...how much time and expense is involved...all the effort that goes into being a female is acutely aware to us, because we have actually experienced the hard work you GG's put into your dressed up looks!
Please believe that most of us lifelong cd's don't take your efforts for granted and are more appreciative then most men...
indeed we stand in our heels and applaud You ...You are what we hope to be, in some small or large part, and i, for one, worship You!
*this is all my personal opinion, of course*

Bev06 I guess I wasn't thinking about it in that light I was lamenting that it was a time that has passed and that the gender line has gone the wrong way.I real good friend (GG) was one of the waitresses at that restaurant she had foot problems and still does. It just saddens me that the gender lines are none defined now. I have sead before that if a CD goes out dressed to the nines in public he will get read easyily because the other GGs don't dress at all. So whats the point to buying all the beautiful clothes if you can only wear them to a CD meeting.:brokenheart:

Same here. Whenever I'm out in drab, I'm always watching the behavior and appearance of the GGs to help make myself as passable as possible when I go out. Admittedly, I'm not going to turn down some hottie that I meet, but I do find myself comparing myself to other girls vs. hitting on them. ;)

I have found myself studying GG's very closely.....their mannerisms, clothing, hair.

Before I started CDing, back when I was about 13 or so...while most guys tried picturing the girls dressed down. I personally always payed close attention in how they can improve their image and what styles go with what.

Needless to say, my GG friends tend to ask me for shopping advice A LOT now that I am out of the closet - when I should be asking them for advice! *Giggles*

I was thinking about what Joy Carter said about how women dressing more in traditionally male clothes makes it harder for CDs to pass. I think it works the other way, too, that there are less and less markers for CD guys who want to be seen as guys, because there are so many tomboys. Wearing pants isn't enough. I think this is also a good thing. Blurring the gender line gives us so much more space in between. Hopefully, one day this space will open up so that CD women won't be afraid to wear skirts and be read.

Every time I see the April cover of Glamour with Trei Hatcher I have two thoughts that come at just about the same time:

1) Man, she is HOT!
2) I wonder if I could wear that dress if I slimmed down.

I think I'll follow Rodney Dangerfield's quip and consider leaving my brain to science fiction.

I find myself checking out what GGs are wearing, their makeup, their mannerisms, and what makes their voices female sounding. I generally think, wow, I would love to look like that long before I think anything else.

Quite often, but most of the time I wish I had their body too.

I'm at the point where there are no dresses being worn where I work that I would ever want to wear. It didn't used to be that way. And I'm 46, so I only started working for a living around 1981, and there were still colorful dresses back then. Nowadays it's navy blue and brown, if you see any dresses at all. But this is Northern California, and men don't have to wear ties, so that is the price we must pay, I guess.

The only place I see most people wearing skirts or dresses is at a crossdressers meeting.

Had a similar experience myself last night when out drinking. I saw this girl walking towards the bus stop near a cash machine i was heading for and she had on this white woolen dress like an overlong pullover thing with brown boots and long hair, its strange because i was considering purging that night and bam went that idea, i couldn't get the image out of my mind, i was so Envious i wanted to go and buy the same outfit and live out the same thing she done at the same place,ie go back to the same spot, walk down that same pavement towards the same bus stop just so that i could "know" what it was like from her perspective. Ever see that film "Being John Malcavich" wish there was some sort of device that downloads your mind into someone elses. Oh well back to reality

Other women tend to make me all self-conscious. They often make me wish i had bigger boobs, and a firmer rear which sticks out a bit more. Oftentimes I find myself critiquing them in my mind too though. And all the while wanting to jump in the sack with the real nice looking ones.

All the time now.

I've always been attracted to women who dress nicely and classily - now it's more than than that - I look at RGs I want to dress like them - it's a 50/50 sort of thing - yes I like them - yes I want to dress like them - try telling that to your mates over a couple of pints!

I watch all the time, usually to get a sense as to how to manage some aspect of my appearance that bothers me. For the last couple days, it has been hairline at the forehead. It's a bitch to get a wig to look naturally - especially as I am not a stylist - so I am watching women who have bangs or otherwise have hair that partially obscures the hairline.

And yes, I know that I am a compulsive freak...

Most definitely! Normally my eyes are drawn down to their legs to see if they are wearing hosiery! I can tell a pair of pantyhose at 100 yards! And yes, I wish I had that particular brand/colour etc.

I found myself doing this in the store the other night. This gal had on a pair of boot that I just loved and wanted. I had to stare at them every time I passed her.
