Does anybody feel that at one time they may have been a female in a passed life, and that maybe its resurfacing now.that when you look in the mirror the girl you see is someone from another time.

If there is such a thing as reincarnation, (I don't know) and we've all lived many times before it follows we must have been male and female in previous lives.
I've never had any sort of feelings that I've been a woman in a previous life, I know others have when "regressed" while under hypnosis, but then I've never been hypnotised.

My sister (who doesn't know about Teresa) went to a psychic who said that she and I were married in a past life and that she was my Husband- must be why we don't get along!
In my youth I thought reincarnation must be true but inspite of some cool theories (and wishful thinking) I'm no longer sure. Life is certainly Weird but perhaps we're just picking up the resonant echos of other peoples lives. We'll all find out eventually though, perhaps awakening to a new life as a screaming newborn somewhere. But I really don't want to go though being a kid again, do you?

While I have no empirical evidence to support it, I firmly believe in reincarnation. That being said, it is my belief that we have all lived many lives and have experienced both genders.

Yes. I was watching a documentary about Germany during the Third Reich and there was a part about a girl of about 18 or so in the uniform of the Hitler Madchen-the Nazi Youth Movement for Girls. She wasn't anyone famous , just a German Teenager in the 1930s but I somehow felt I had been her and that the places shown during that part of the film were very familiar to me and I have never been to Germany, at least not in this life. I have often thought that I was a girl in that part of Europe.

If you accept the idea of reincarnation and also accept the idea that the human species evolved, then I think we have to conclude that we are reincarnated not only as humans but as other species as well. Yet most believers in reincarnation imagine (with a few exceptions) that all their reincarnations were as humans. So, either our perceptions of reincarnation are wrong, or reincarnation doesn't occur.
All that said, I agree that sometimes there is a shock of recognition in people when they encounter certain others, or see themselves en femme in the mirror, etc. My son when he was about 1 and I held him in front of the mirror smiled and his expression to me always seemed like one of recognition, as if he was saying: "I'm back!".
If there is no basis for reincarnation, we have to look someplace else for an explanation of these experiences. Personally, I think Jung recognized something important, that there are underlying aspects of personality that are inherited and archetypal and somehow shared. It is to these I look for an explanation, even though I haven't seen an adequate one so far. I'm also still open to the idea that ideas have an objective existence, and that time is capable of being sensed in advance or in arrears somehow. Though I have no proof for these concepts either, they seem easier to make consistent with our current scientific worldviews.

reincarnated not only as humans but as other species as well.
As the Body has evolved so has the Soul (so goes the logic). The mistake reincarnationists often make is the idea that you might come back as a lower life form if you don't behave yourself- such is the difference between spiritual quest and Religion. But then I said I don't really believe, didn't I?:o
p.s.- I get that "I'm back" feeling everytime Teresa looks at herself in the mirror. But does that really Prove anything???

I do not believe in reincarnation. But when I look in the mirror sometimes I see my mother or sister. Coupled with the fact that my parents were expecting a daughter.

I guess I believe it to be possible. I have always felt we are but here to learn things, to expand our horizons if you will. So can it be possible that I might have been a woman in a past life? Or how about a womanizing male? Or how about someone who was very intolerant of diversity? Could explain why I feel the way I do inside. Maybe I am supposed to be learning the lesson that we are all different by design. A Utopian Society you say.
Puff...puff.. pass
I often think that Deena and that I'll be back as a gender girl.

In the early sixties there was a Tony Curtice film "Goodbye Charlie" his friend a womanizer was shot by a husband and the friend came back as a full grown woman. Debbie Reynolds was the woman and she got over the shock and started to use her assets as she did when she was he. Well she was killed tying to get away from a jelous wife and came back a dog.

It might help explain some of the 'why' questions that I ask myself when I am dressed, thinking, or acting out of my expected male role. I love feeling like I do, as a crossdresser (just go with the label for now), but tell myself at times that what I am doing is strange. To answer your question, I can't say that I am a firm believer of reincarnation. I am not saying that I don't believe in it.

I don't happen to believe. Don't suppose anythings impossible.
However as I was growing up I wished that I'd go to sleep one night and wake up as a girl.

I do not have to look in any mirrors to know that i have lived many many past live's to me religion has not to very much to do with it except that it was once even a part of the Christian religion until zealots cut all of this out much much later in time so there is very little reference to it in the bible anymore but it is indeed a very big part of what stands for any true kind of meaning most everone ahs been here at the very least a few time's and some of us are very old. I myselfed have lived far more female live's then male one's thuss the need and or feeling to be female in most all live's. it is only natural to be or want to be female because that si the natural sex to begin with anyway. So yeah i ahve been a girl many more times then a biy or a guy. and very problay will be yet again. I have always belived and felt there was so much more then just one shot at any live time. That's how i mostly always belived. Suzy!.

.........and then there was the thread about the ghost. Was the ghost wearing a dress, and what was that thingy under her panties. Was the ghost a crossdresser? Can a ghost crossdress? I mean, do they make sheets for boys and sheets for girls?

Ok,if I came back, yes I'd rather be a woman. But I'd want it to be in the USA for sure. Not some other country. Not trying to be unsensitive. But I would so not want to have someone else, pick out who, and where I was going to be born. I feel I was done wrong this time except being in the United States. Now I'd have to ask who ever it was a question. Did God give you the right to put me in a Man's body, or did you just flip a coin? HUH?
I did go to war at 17. No I'd a not done that If I was female. Wow so many other things would have been diffrent. With some people I tell them this, " I did fight a war for you, what gives you the right to get in my face and treat me badly"? It never helps much but does make me feel better about the A holes out there. I'd not want to be born to an A-Hole Father and be a daughter. I would have to get a say in on where I was going to be born, and what Sex I'd be. You to, HUH? You'd want a say in that, HUH?
I hear there are no Unions in Heaven or where ever you believe we go after death. But I'd have to find a Steward to represent me if I was done wrong being sent to a desert and having to feed camels, no way. Then being the Girl of the family that gets sold for a bag of grain. No way. Not for me.
Ok you don't believe me, here is a link. I don't want to be a woman over there. You hear me up there. I don't want it. Hey I should have a say in that! LOL:)

as with all matters theological 'r philosophical 'n nature,,, i'm highly skeptical,,, but open t' th' concept,,,,, but my ex-wife, a believer, held noooo doubt that i'd been a "lady of substance" through most o' my past lives.(that makes meee happy!!!),,,,, indeed, one reason buddhists are as tolerant, 's th' widely held belief that th' Transgendered are merely working off kharma from a past life,(i have a close GG-friend who's Thai.), soooo 's no fault o' their own!!!,,,,, for meee!!,,no heavy philosophies needed here, popeye will suffice, "i am what i am, 'n that's all that i am",, 'n soooo glad t' be!!!, merely accept who i am 'n intend t' enjoy being exactly who i am for as long as i am!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,,, i'm not about t' waste precious time 'n energy on a useless quest t' find out why i am, when th' time 'n energy could be better spent shopping!!!!!

I'm a Christian, but I've often thought reincarnation might be an option in the afterlife, for those who wanted it. There's only so much clouds and harp music you can take.
I've often thought that the first thing I'll hear in the afterlife is, "See, it's not so easy, is it?" Because I'm a woman that complained that men have it so easy, so I decided to try a life as a man.

Aloha,
I believe I have been female before (love cooking, romantic movies, soft music). Probably male as well (military, martial arts). I like EricaLynne's view! Maybe I'm getting ready to be female in the next cycle, if I'm good.
