View Full Version : I Miss Me....

I just spent a few hours looking at myself. I treated myself to a few new garments and make up palette. I moved an old mirror next to my PC's screen, while doing some work from home. I look over at myself and it's like I'm having an outer body experience. I know it's me there but, I feel like a totally different person. I get this way when I go through long periods of not dressing. Anyone else experience feelings like this?

I'm not sure I relate to all of your post, Jayne.
But, whenever I see Sherry in my mirror or photos I LOVE that she looks nothing at all like me!:daydreaming:

Jayne,
I still remember the first time when I got it all together , when the wig went on the guy just disappeared , that was about twenty years ago but even now when trying on clothes in the changing booths certain dresses just look stunning , I have to pinch myself and say this shouldn't be happening !

I hate when I have to DAB all day. When at home I am dressed all the time.
I am usually under dressed, with Bra & Panties, Fem Jeans. I feel I am 3/4 dressed
I do not go out of the house dressed.

Jayne,
Is it possible that when you look at that image you are looking at the inner you, the real you?

YES!
It's like being someone else.
Acting must also give actors a similar feeling or even performers like musicians.

I haven't fully dressed in about 2 years. I get my eyebrows threaded, get mani's and pedi's, waxed, shower with girly soap and lotion. It's not enough. :(

Jayne,
I've come to the conclusion that the 'real me' is not a well defined single thing, and the structures of cultural expectation are that we have several 'me's that we put forth. Crossdressers have a feminine me lurking and wanting to come out and play.
What is different when you haven't been going without dressing?

That's very thought provoking. You sound like my therapist Alice :o But to answer your question....yes.

I, fortunately, have never gone through long or short periods of not dressing to some degree i.e. panties, hose, bra, etc. However, when I dress to the 9’s, and look in the mirror, I, too, feel like a totally different person and smile.

I used to but the opportunity does not rise these days.
