Been invited over to a workmates house for girly afternoon, along with another friend from work. Now I know I would have a great time but this is the thing I'd need to walk through my neighbourhood and although it's only a 10 minute walk, and much as I've said about getting out in more everyday scenarios this one does give me a bit of a dilemma, should I or shouldn't I?

Have to start getting comfortable some time. Why not now?

Of course you should. Your out to these coworkers, one is but a ten minute walk away. That’s pretty out, so enjoy it

Yeah I understand your dilemma. With sunglasses and a hat you're probably safe.

You may end up regretting not going. I second the sunglasses and hat idea. People tend to see what they want to see and they probably aren't looking for you to walk crossdressed through the neighbourhood.

Yes you should. Even if you drive. Would have loved to be one of the girls at work. So wonderful that your work friends are including you. Have fun!

I think you should do it. Just think about what another woman walking in the neighborhood would be wearing. It probably wouldn't be stilettos.

A Berghaus Stormcloud jacket would seem more appropriate Sophie.

Especially now that summer seems to have gone.

It's an opportunity your regret in the future Sophie if you didn't go. Go with the hat and stand proud and enjoy the girly time.

Hugs Gemma.

Think you may regret not going. Would a taxi work?

It's a very badly kept secret is that people won't give it that much thought if they see you. You could always prop a copy of Oor Wullie in front of your face if you're terribly worried ;)

You can’t pass this one up. Find a way to get there and get to do something we all dream about.

Thank you for your input Ladies,I've long wanted to introduce Sophie to my friends at work, other than pics they have seen,.And to be honest the idea really appeals ive even gone as far as to plan the easiest route.

Back at work on Monday can talk the idea through with them and arrange a day,I know myself I can't pass up this opportunity to do those normal things that women do,with my wonderful accepting friends

I started the girlie afternoon thing when I was sixteen, we listened to pop music and experimented with all type of beauty enhancements.

Boobs were either stockings or Kleenex tissues.

Some of the makeup was good quality and some lipstick was difficult to get off.

The only remark that was ever made to me after was that I had nice clean and manicured nails.

I would go for it, it's only a 10 minute walk.

You are brave enough to come out of your co-workers, but having fear of walking your neighborhood dressed? I thought the former is far harder to do. If you did that, I am sure you can make the walk.

Could you carry a bag of stuff and change at the friend's place? Seems better than not going :)

If was to do this I think I'd want to do it the whole way rather than half measures.Though a wee bit hesitant yet I do feel I need to do this. My friends on holiday atm and when she gets back I think ill be ready to put my big girl pants on and go for it :)
