Wearing pantyhose with wife?

Now my wife knows I wear pantyhose and tights because I like the feel, and she has no problems with it andis very accepting. She has even seen them on me. However, I have certain stylish jeans that have ripped knees or very distressed that I’d like to wear them under in public. I just can’t bring myself to put pantyhose on in the morning in front of her and wear them for the day as a fashion statement under my ripped jeans. I know I should be able to, but how do I get over this hangup?

I know what you mean. My wife knows I dress, has seen me dressed, and is totally supportive, but, I, too, cannot dress with her in the room. She’s even invited me to dress in front of her. I just can’t do it...not even a touch of lipstick. I don’t know why, either.

Dressing in front of your SO can be difficult, I still have a problem putting on my hip/bum pads on in front of her because I know that she is not a fan of them.
Take your time and wear them when you can and as she sees you dressed she (hopefully) will become accustomed to the look on you!

I agree. Dressing is intimate to me, maybe it's my trust issues or fear of confrontation? I don't know. But I do know communication is supposed to be the right answer. Sometimes it's just being confident and decisive thinking "I'm wearing the hose today!" and just doing it. Oddly enough there is maybe a look from my wife but no comment. Also within a few days she seems to offer more support to my dressing. Just my humble opinion.

For me, I found discussing what I like to wear with her will ease the tension and will be easier dressing and undressing in front in front of her.

I wear pantyhose often, too. Don't worry about getting dressed in front of your wife, just jump in and do it! Every time it will get easier.
One time my wife and I went to a party. She came up to me and asked if I was wearing pantyhose under my pants. I said yes, why? She said she just got a run in hers, and told me to go to the bathroom, take mine off, and give them to her! Which of course I did.

Dressing in front of the wife does take time and you do not need to kill the moment by letting her see you stuff your bra with those oversized boobs.

One day she will help you stuff your bra with the right size boobs.

Then you know you have it made.

I would wear skin tone 15 denier hose under the jeans.

Honestly if your wife is accepting about your dressing,being seen in front of her,although I do know its nerve wracking (it was for me) it will work out fine.She may help by giving her opinion on how to do better she loves you and shes not going to belittle you but give you support

I wear pantyhose and panties 24/7. I the summer I wear with shorts around the house. My wife knows I wear and is very accepting. She would not want me to go further since I can hide my underdressing from the general public. I get dressed in front of her without any problems. Once you start doing it becomes just a natural part of dressing. My wife did question me a few weeks ago about a Soma v neck tank that she was folding in the wash. She asked if it was a women's tank since it had the little plastic loops to use on the hanger. All she said was oh. I wear the v neck tanks under my short sleeve dress shirt all summer they are so soft and comfortable.

I wear tights most days in the winter months, my wife doesn't mind even if worn under ripped jeans. As others have said, if there's no objections from your partner to getting dressed/under-dressed in front of her, just do it. It very soon becomes your "normal".

Thanks everyone. Just for the record, I do not dress fully in front of her and she doesn’t know quite yet. It’s an evolving thing and she’s accepting with the small steps e dry time. I go to the salon and get pedis with her and always get a coloured shellac. She has also made me an appointment before to go alone.

What worked for me was just owning up to it. One morning I opened a new pair and while she was in the room sat at the edge of the bed and put them on is the most girly was one could imagine. Then I state out loud how I love wearing pantyhose, and she laughed slightly about my statement. Then after getting my dress on I asked her to zip it up, and now this girl is the lady of the house. Feels great to express my more feminine side. Let the girl out. Now I bring coffee and the paper to bed for her in the mornings. She loves it. Her other favorite sound is the sound of my heels in the kitchen making breakfast for us. She the queen and I am the princess, silk stockings and all. Express yourself and how much you love her in a feminine manner you might be surprised.

I've never heard wearing pantyhose under distressed jeans is a fashion statement, and, I have a granddaughter who wears distressed jeans. Get some jeans without the tears and holes. If you're dead set on doing this get some hosiery to match your skin tone.

PS: I use to have some distressed jeans created by splashing battery acid. Don't pay extra for them. Go to Goodwill and get a pair and use scissors or battery acid if you're adventurist and artistic.

but it is quite a different matter if if I wore ripped jeans over tights in public - that is not under-dressing because people will see my tights
