I went to my counseling session and stayed dressed afterwards!
We needed some things at the store so I went as Lana Mae! No bananas! I went to the check out and heard, "I'll take you here, MAAM!" I got maamed! First time! It was wonderful for about 5 minutes when the guy getting the carts together called me "Sir!" Oh well! At least I got my first maam! Just thought I would let you know! Hugs Lana Mae Note: I was dressed with the same outfit I wore when I used a purse for the first time! Hmmm! Is there something about that outfit? LOL

Lana you said that you were dressed in male mode in your other thread so being "sired" would be correct. As far as being "maamed" I get that all the time but I usually dress the part and hopefully act it too. When not in a skirt or dress it takes some time for others to decide what I am. If you want to hear maam more often wear a skirt not pants or slacks. But good for you getting that first maam under your belt. Maybe an entry in the boy vs girl section would help us to understand more.

Your experience is so wonderful and affirming, Lana.
So glad you STAYED dressed after your counseling session. Why would you NOT remain dressed. Were it not for The Wife giving me the scowl through the entire day, I'd stay dressed after my own gender counseling sessions too. But I change back into guy mode in her daytime presence.

Send us some pics, Lana. We want to see your everyday look.

Sidney: Thanks! I am getting more comfortable!
Orchid: Yes, I am hoping the HT will help with that at least a little!
Aunt Kelly: You are welcome and I am glad I made your day!
Rayleen: Yes I am getting out a little more as time goes by!
Allisa: I was wearing the same outfit only in female mode this time! Photos may be forthcoming!
Laura: You are welcome!
Ilene: My counselor says it is alright to change back as long as it is a free decision and not a "must" type thing! We are coming at this in a (I guess) gender fluid like idea! I still present male at times but also present female at times and easily slide from one to the other! That is why I am gender me! We generally dispense with labels as much as possible! Photos may be forthcoming!
Gracie: Thanks!
Thanks for your replies ladies!

Here in the south we would call you Miss Lana Mae.

Getting misgendered sucks. Even more so the deeper you get into transition. I finally got to the point that I decided to deal with each occurrence. It has only happened twice in the lat nine months but each time I made sure the person regretted being either careless or uncaring. Of course I had already changed name and gender marker.

You are just now testing life in a new way. Like anything else it will get easier.

That's all I've got to say about that Ma'am.

Always good to hear a positive story Lana Mae. Getting people mis-gendered, guilty as charged I'm afraid. Once at work I said 'thanks mate' in the English style, to a delivery driver without really looking, turns out it was a girl. If looks could kill.....

Annie: You're welcome and thanks!
Diane: I too have mis-gendered in the past! When in the Air Force and out to a pizza/hoagie shop, there was a person with waist length silky black hair! They were slim with a well defined waist and then they turned around and he had a beard! Gender shock! LOL
Joanne: Thanks!
Jamie: Short lived but I still got one! LOL
Connie: Thanks! I sure hope so!
Jenny: Thanks! Yes it felt great!
Bridget: Yeah, the first is sweet! I hope for more in the future!
Beverly: Yes it does!
Crissy: Thanks!
Thanks for your replies ladies!

I think you are in a good place in life. And it would seem you are accepting it well. Enjoy youself and live it as if there were no tomorrow in regards to your personal preferences.
