Things I've Learned...

#1 - This Forum is a Godsend.
This is one of those sites where - To steal a quote from Winston Churchill - "So few have done So much for So many"
From day one on this forum, I have been in awe of the strength and beauty of all that we can achieve.

#2 - Confidence is Key.
"I Yam what I Yam and that's all that I Yam " ( Thank You Popeye! [You are no Churchill - but, then, Who is?])
Be who you are, Believe in yourself.

#3 - Respect those you Love.
You need to respect others, before you can receive their respect.

These are just a start, Have you got anything to add?

Love You All!
Tina

...#2 - Confidence is Key.

"I Yam what I Yam and that's all that I Yam " ( Thank You Popeye! [You are no Churchill - but, then, Who is?])
Be who you are, Believe in yourself...

That, and as Lady Gaga put it so succinctly in her recent song "Born This Way":

"It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up 'cause you were born this way, baby

My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say

"I'm beautiful in my way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way" (Born this way)

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way
Right..."

Can I get an "Amen!" here, Brothers and Sisters? :daydreaming:

Tina,
If you are out in public I would add :-
1) Stop looking for a reaction and you won't get one .
2) If you are read go with it and accept it , most people don't mean any harm by it .
3) On the confidence point , don't try and act like someone else , be yourself and show people you are comfortable with it .
4) Have fun , dressing isn't about doom and gloom , I now have a ball with most people .

A couple of things to add.

1. Before you can expect others to like and respect you, you have to like and respect yourself.

2. Crossdressing is just about the coolest thing in the whole world.
