One year on

I see from my profile that today is the anniversary of when I joined this forum one year ago. I'd just like to say that I've really benefited from being a member here and I'd like to thank everyone for making this forum so very worthwhile. It's great to have a place where we can just be us and sound off about those things which bother us in this crazy world of ours.

Charlotte, you and others have set it well. Congrats on one year with hopefully many more to come. I had to check my join date and see that I have been here just over two years.

While we are quite a diverse group of individuals our common attribute pulls us together. How often has this place reaffirmed that I am not alone, not crazy, and perhaps a good person with just a little extra. It has become my sounding board of sorts. I would sorely miss its absence.

You made me curious. I can't believe I have been here almost 1 1/2 years! So much has been gained from participating, and I hope some of those who are lurking in the shadows will soon take the brave step of joining our ranks. Who knows, maybe a year from now you can be celebrating your first anniversary!

I echo all the thoughts mentione here, without friends here and without being able to discuss our inner thoughts life would not be so good at all, in fact I think a lot of us would be in a dark place unable to find those answers so dearly sought after.

I to had to check just how long I've been here and it turns out it's some 8 years.

I can only hope that as time passes you will gain as much as I have. This forum has given me the strength to take myself to a place I could barely dream of before I joined. From furtive nighttime drives I now have the confidence to take Helen out amongst the muggles. To interact as if it's the most normal thing in the world which, I'm sure others will echo, hopefully will one day be the case for all who choose to do so.

So I wish you a bon voyage on your journey here and many more years of hearing of your own exploits.
