This was my second Halloween out at a club (drag night) with my girlfriend. Had a great time, my boa was leaving a trail of feathers everywhere I went haha. We are planning to make this an annual tradition - we're already thinking up our costumes for next year!

PS any tips for making heels more comfortable? Both years my feet were killing me after a couple hours. Tried gel inserts and they dont seem to do much. It's usually the balls of my feet getting sore.

I think I pass pretty well until I talk...I dont try to feminize my voice, and dont think I could if I tried. I've received a few comments from others saying they thought I was a girl which made my night. I'm only 5'6" which helps!

I wish I could look that good but I did have a group of teens one Halloween tell me that they thought I was just an ugly woman until I spoke so, there's that.

I wear up to 4" pretty comfortably. I have 4.5's that hurt the balls of my feet almost right away. Maybe try a slightly lower heel

Really the only solution for heels is to get a pair that are comfortable to start. I’ve found that generally (not a hard and fast rule) higher end/more expensive shoes tend to be more comfortable to wear than cheap ones. Even the best ones can hurt after a while.

Great looking costume.
Would be fun to wear, but I think I'm a bit too old to pull it off as well as you do.

Hi Chloe! First off, you are gorgeous! I am so jealous of your look and you are stunning. In regards to your shoes, are they a bit narrow? That can cause pain in the ball of the foot area, especially if you have not been wearing heels much and suddenly go out and stand on them for more than a half hour walking. I am thinking of the width because I know that even after all these years of high heel wear, the narrower shoes hurt after wearing them for several hours in my case. Also, what brand of shoes are those Mary Janes? Are they leather or man made vinyl? The leather ones are usually made better and stretch to your foot slightly, and make sure that the sole is leather and not man made if possible, which are "softer" on your feet

If I could look like you do I would suffer the pain of heels.

You're fabulous.

I think I need to go with a shorter heel next time, or maybe platforms. These were 4.5 inches I think... I always want the most dramatic look and never think about comfort :)

First, you don't have to wear heels to look like a woman. Second, lower heels are generally more comfortable than higher heels. Third, if you want to be comfortable in heels, don't just wear them once or twice a year, wear them as often and as long as you can. Get used to them.

Walk striking your heel first and then rolling to your toes.

You looked great! I had a blast last Saturday going out myself.

I had 3 inch heels and the ball of my foot on the right side bothers me all the time. I put the insert in for the ball of foot area and they worked fine for me.

Chloe you look amazing. I like that dress. I have to chime in that good shoes are a must and the need to fit right. I love high heels and some of mine are more comfortable than others. Wearing them frequently also helps. Cheers

You look amazing, must have been so fun to go out with your girlfriend as Girls. About heels, I have the same problem, my wife said some women carry their high heels in a large hand bag and wear flats for all the walking and heels for those I look hot moments,(not her words). But it is a good idea to give your feet a break when needed. I tend to stay with low heels or flats but my wife has offered one of her hand bags (large open purse) and I may take her up on it if I end up in a fun formal outing, for photos and standing as long as I can. I see a lot of women wear tennis shoes or flats when commuting to work then changing shoes at work, so a good option.
