My first Hollywood moment

Last night my GG GF and I rented a hotel room to use as a dressing room before going out for the night. We got dressed and made up, took a bunch of cute selfies, and then headed downstairs for the parking lot.

As I stepped out of the elevator on the ground floor a woman who had been waiting for the elevator lit up, put her hand on my shoulder, and said, "Hey! I know you!!!"

Neither recognizing her nor expecting to see anyone I knew there, I just tilted my head and responded, "You do?" in my everyday unmistakably masculine dude voice.

This lady's eyes got SO BIG- if it had been a scene in a movie trailer, this is when you'd hear the record scratch. She just froze in position- I guess trying to reconcile my voice coming out of my body- until her boyfriend gently guided her onto the elevator.

Alex and I were dying.

I'm not sure how I should take that comment, but by "Hollywood moment" I just meant it felt like a little scene from a movie; the comic timing was perfect.

We're in a pretty safe city to be "out." It's still new and exciting to me though.
