Too darn tired

With Thanksgiving being a short work week, they're trying to cram five days of work out of us in three days. Was VERY short handed to boot, and came home a tired wreck yesterday.

Anyone who's read a couple of my threads know I like to be dolled up when I'm off for when my wife comes home, but last night I dragged myself in the door and she had a wonderful dinner ready (she's the much, better cook than I am!)

Well, all I could manage was to slip out of my man costume and into a comfy old skirt and top. Too tired for forms, and let me tell you, for me, THAT is tired.

I told herself that she'd just have to put up with her wife (me) not looking so pretty tonight. She said I am always pretty to her. Then she took a clip on hair rose and placed it in my hair 'just so'.


She sure has a way of making me smile.

That's really nice, what a lovely and caring wife you have there. It just goes to show that we don't always have to look our best, as sometimes shabby chic is all that's required.

Yes indeed, Charlotte! Herself doesn't rise out of bed easily, but to me that's when she's looking her cutest … staggering out in the morning on legs that are about as steady as a three year old's, hair a hot mess, face a little screwed tight from light and waking, my wife is positively adorable :)
