These days, as I pass a mirror, I often spot to woman within peeking through. Even while dressed in drab, even with a stubbly face, and I smile and am well pleased. Even if no one else sees it, I am owning both my masculinity and my femininity (my loving wife notices too).
Yesterday morning, I was knocking around the bedroom doing some light chores or whatever. I was wearing a gypsy skirt and a very casual top that looks like a long sleeve t-shirt, but with peek-a-boo shoulders. They are rather slimming, I'm discovering. I had no forms, no padding, no make-up, and my hair dangled unkempt.
As I passed the full length mirror in the dim-ish light filtering around through the blinds, a side glance in the mirror stopped me in my tracks briefly.
"holy crap … I look like my great-nieces! … an older 'tranny' version of my great-nieces … lol" (I don't mean to phrase it like that, but that's how the thought struck me in a humorous way.)
Okay, there is a strong family resemblance, and they are a little tom-boyish around the edges, but it was momentarily startling. I'm not aspiring to look like them in the least, but with the family genes, it really was a bit of a peek at a 'female version' of myself. I was well pleased by that too.
