I don’t get tired of being called ma’am, although I would take “miss” if given the choice. Today was out for just a short while, I got two ma’am’s and one “ I can help you down here deary” just minimal make up, carefully brushed wig and a big smile (coral colored today).

Neither do I, love it when that happens. Also I think a big smile exudes confidence and is an important part of your outfit. Go girl!

Being "ma'amed" always makes me smile.
I got a "young lady" a few weeks ago. We both knew that I was not young, but hearing the "lady" part gave me a boost.

I truly appreciate being called ma'am, it makes me feel like someone cares about me and my feelings.(I may be deluding myself... but, what the hell!)

How do u feel about, "Dude", "Bud", or "Boss"? I get called those in drab and HATE THEM!:Angry3:

I have a mirror so I know I'm a MIAD! :daydreaming:
I like it when service people r nice and do their job well. They can call me whatever they want!:hugs:

I get it occasionally, from short sighted men mostly. :-)

I recently got from a server, 'what can I get you man?"

I totally agree with the Doc. Bud, Boss, Mate, Dude and or Pal, are all completely unacceptable at any time.

Here in the west of Ireland, older service people (and particularly older women) tend to call everyone "love" or "loveen". It just means "you seem nice" and is not gender specific. Nor does it mean they're in love with you LOL.

I can get behind this 100%. “Pet” names with anyone you don’t know is ALWAYS inappropriate. This goes for GGs too! Please don’t call your SA or server “Honey” or “sweetheart” or “baby”!

When I was out dressed a few weeks ago a man bumped in to me, and in a very Northern English way said 'sorry luv'. Made my day!

That's a GREAT point, Micki. If anyone in my party did that I'd be mortified!
