Male transvestite makeovers

In 2001 at the age of 49, Michelle Davies was diagnosed with breast cancer. She overcame the disease and had a mastectomy, but on recovery, realised that her beauty business in Bournemouth would be easier to run from home.

With a range of wigs and prosthetic breasts, she saw an ununsual gap in the beauty market, and began makeovers for male transvestites. Ruth Oliver went to meet her, and "Danielle", one of her clients...

Danielle is the "Southern" Regional Organiser for the Beaumont Society and the link to the radio broadcast can be found here http://www.beaumontsociety.org.uk/wobs/WomansHour.html

Enjoy,

Ruth

just listened to it - shame the BBC presenter spolied it by her "throwaway" comment at the end calling it a "bizarre business".

otherwise quite a good and sympathetic feature
