Greetings all,

So I've just christened 2019 with a going out. First time stepping out the door this year, and it's en femme :yahoo:.

So basically, when you step out for the first time this year, just answer. Write "yep" or "yes", or whatever. I know some of you are full-timers or NBs of the highest echelon; so I could probably pencil you in right now, but I'll let you do the honours.

So 2019:

Yep!

Yay!! Dammit, I was just about to leave the house and now I'll have to go back and change first! This is just too good an idea to pass up! :)

On the dance floor at a packed nightclub at midnight on New Year’s Eve, then stopped at another club to dance fefore going home. I’m one of our full-timers.

I miss it completely, I go to work last year and I don't finish work till next year.

Mind you I have LOTS of Beverley time anyway.

Both Wally World and probably Sam's are on my to do lists today. It's also HALF price on all clothing at my fave thrift store, which is pretty much the only time I go. Pretty much everything will be 2 bucks or less!

Happy New Year! I am planning on spending tomorrow out dressed en femme. Planning on having lunch at a favorite of mine, The Mad Italian, Atlanta. Then need to go to Barnes and Noble to return a book that I already had.

My only out today was to shovel snow... Underneath my heavy winter coat, snow pants, stocking cap and big warm gloves, I was dressed enfemme!

Lydianne,
First outing will be 2nd Jan to attend a pantomime with my daughter, granddaughter and my son in law's mother , it wasn't planned , I was asked if I wanted to use a spare ticket . Not sure what I'm going to wear yet but it's going to be a bit of fun .

Lydianne
01-02-2019, 12:46 AM
Excellent!. Wast'n no tahm! :shades:.

Tina June, I think yours counts. The minimum snow-shovelling time ever witnessed in WI, I believe, stands at 22 hours 5 minutes 2pi seconds. You can't possibly have beaten that :ohgoon:. So someone must have certainly seen you in that time.

So after day one, I make that seven. See whether that number continues. I see two already penciled in for day two.

Five more needed to keep it up for today. It could even be four today, and eight tomorrow. That would balance out too.

It's going to get more difficult with work starting back up for many :worried:.

Good job! :).

First "dress up" was Monday evening. I wore a long purple print skirt with a deep purple turtleneck sweater. I wore it around the house. The wife and I aren't much on NYE partying and staying in for the evening by ourselves.
Thursday, 03 Jan, will be my next full-blown CD when I go to my therapist session. Lord,.... I can hardly wait to put on some makeup. Support group also meets that same evening.
It's frigging freezing cold here now and I'm wondering about WHAT to wear and be comfortable too. Always a dilemma.

I'll be out dressed all day both Wednesday (1/2/2019) and Thursday (1/3/2019). Casual boy mode for the weekend, but the nails, heels and earrings will remain.

Sadly struck down with the flu. Idea of crossing the door at all isn't on my list, but race against time is on as its monthly TG meeting on sat, if this lifts it'll be en femme all the way baaaaby :)

Lydianne

OK, at the end of day two, I make it 4 more [ Heather, Teresa, Diane, Samm ].

Belated news of Cheryl & Caitlin's go outs on day one are a welcome boost - the more the merrier!. I now have a decision to make whether to push up the average daily target retrospectively from 7 ( set on day one ) to 9. I'm leaning towards not doing so because it would be difficult to keep track of many results for different days coming in belatedly.

So for day 3 --and I'm only considering each person's first go out for 2019 here--:

The expectation by the end of today is 21.
The current total at the beginning of today is 13.

Need 8 today. I see 1 is already penciled in ( Ilene ). So to catch up, we need 7 more people to do their first outing of 2019 today.

Awesome! :shades:.

- Lydianne.

( p.s. @Cheshire girl: I hope the temperatures increase a bit for you so that you don't need to cover up the dress while shopping :) ).

Yep I did it! Just a drive for new years. My little town CD's are just targets. But had to go for a drive and I still look at my self in the mirror to much. LOL

Yes, count me in. Spent about 2 hours outside moving snow, 1 hour for therapist appointment and then go get dinner for myself and my wife. Tomorrow, at least under dressed ( hopefully more) taking my wife to her doctors appointment. Any more will just be a bonus.

Lydianne
01-03-2019, 08:30 AM
Umm . . yeah . It might not be due to my dressing why I have no girlfriend :whistling:.

[ Graph Updated ]

OK, I have a decision to make regarding whether I keep the 24 hr cut-offs. Real life is clearly dictating that results are arriving belatedly. I might just add them as and when they arrive.

For me, I count Jan 3 (today) as my first going out (as NB). I did go out Jan 1 with flip flops exposing my purple and pink toes with Ariel princess men's pajama pants and my long hair, and Jan 2 I went to several women's stores clothes shopping in drab, so not gendernormative but not really out for me. And my first mostly femme outing will most likely be Jan 19.

Nice fancy graphs!

Down to Starbuck's for my daily morning coffee with a wonderful group of friends. I wore athletic black tights with a bunch of white flowers all over them and a black longer sweater and pointed toe ballet flats.

Diane Smith
01-03-2019, 10:45 PM
As planned, I was out all day Wednesday, from 9:30 AM until after supper near 9:00 PM. I had a nail appointment, hair appointment, shopped seriously in three different stores and at least walked through a few more, filled the car with gas, used the ATM, met with a friend very briefly, and used the driveup for two fast food meals.

But I had to cancel all of Thursday's planned activities because I woke up with a nasty cold. :( Makeup and a runny nose don't mix well. I wound up spending most of the day in bed, only cheered up a little by being able to look at my still pretty nails.

Lydianne
01-04-2019, 01:23 AM
At the end of day three, I make it 4 more [ Ilene, Asew ( knew it was coming :p ), Lana Mae, Allie ], And belated news of Rochal on the 1st, Rachel & Marie Ann on the 2nd.

The brain is inclined to add those on the correct dates, but that would require that all belated reports of go outs are supplied with dates for consistency. So rather than me request that, I'll just keep it light & fun and add them on today. So that's 7 in total.

For day 4:

The expectation by the end of today is 28.
The current total at the beginning of today is 20.

Need 8. I see nothing penciled in.

[ -- Graph Updated -- ]

Makeup and a runny nose don't mix well.
Absolutely. And a limited number of nose wipes until it takes paint off. In a Mid West winter, that would even be an issue going out without being ill. Get well soon! :).

OMG I hope I can make a legitimate post here before the end of the year!!
Well, my graph won't fill itself . Get it done! :waiting: . . . Just kidding! :tongueout.

Take your time, and it will be beautiful when everything aligns. Do it properly, and it will be worth the wait. There is no rush :).

Went out yesterday (Thursday, 1/3) to have lunch with a GG friend and then try on stuff (mostly dresses) at Nordstrom.

01-05-2019, 02:30 AM
At the end of day 4, two more: Dede and Dee. There's a delectable symmetry about that! :)

But just two? :raisedeyebrow:.. It's cool though. Weekend's here. Calm before the storm, right gang? :we: . . .

Right?. . .

Right!.

So for day 5:

The expectation by the end of today is 35.
The current total at the beginning of today is 22.

Need 13.

I'll set up termination conditions. If the difference gets to 25 in either direction ( preferrably with the pink line above the blue line ), then I'll end this.

January 3. Spent most of the day at a Botannical garden dressed in a burgundy colored tunic, a denim jacket, black leggings, and ballet flats. Got a pedicure. Went to a movie in a short gray sweater dress, a lighter gray moto jacket, a red and silver scarf, black leggings, and tall black riding boots. Going to a live theatre presentation today on a blue lace dress and heels.

I went out this morning, shopped for new summer clothes and wore two outfits today, lunch with girlfriends went really well. Followed by a little siesta and refresh for evening out with an old friend on the bar terrace.

I celebrated my new year by getting dressed up and going shopping! I got several compliments on my outfit, which is hidden here, and had a nice chat with some women in the checkout line who had been in a different discount clothing store earlier at the same time as me as well. I've come to a new place where being a mirl just is normal- so I had nothing but pleasure and ease, trying on clothes, even browsing the lingerie racks. Observers could see- things fit or they don't- and we are all there looking for clothes that look and feel good. I especially like this deep red lace dress, and I am looking forward to showing myself off in it soon!

Behind it is a charcoal jersey dress with tiny sparkly thread that feels so mature and elegant it is going to displace some other black dresses which were approximations. The knee length hem is perfect, as it sways beautifully from my waist with a slight flare over the hips.

At left is a filmy 'art' blouse with multiple incorporated patterns that is electrifying with black pants or skirt. I'm going to put darts midback on either side to enhance my waist. Today was being at ease knowing I want to look good. Like any nonstandard girl I have to rely on a smile and good looking clothes! 300105

Ooh, responses!. Many thanks to all for sending in your go-outs! :).

Hmm.. looking at the replies ... Since I have all the dates which I wasn't sure I'd get, I might be able to make this legit :eg:.

I'll retain the 7 per day target because it appears perfect for this right now.

Legitimised! :GD:.

Only down by 6, and today is not over!.

@Phili: Nice picture! You started smiling, too! :D.

I have been whining recently about having to wear a coat because it's cold, and the coat covers the dress :sigh:. I notice you are dressed very summery including your sandals . . but the lady standing just next to you is dressed for an Arctic expedition :raisedeyebrow:. Who's right?.

Yep, it was late Sunday afternoon the 6th the first day of my annual leave, I needed some groceries so I got all dressed up and went to the shops not far from me, a couple of years ago I would only go to shops that were about half hour drive away, but now I have the confidence to go the shops in my own area. I stayed dressed until bed time that night.
It's the second month of Summer here in Australia.

Hell-o Lydianne,
Does stepping out to get the mail on the 5th count?
It is about about a 2 mile journey, and I was about 100 yards from running into my neighbor at the bottom of my driveway.
Surely that’s at least worth half credit???
Much Love,

Ooooh . . more responses! Excellent, thank you to all! :). I had already added Rhonda by stealth :lurk:.

Tammy!! It pleases me that you're getting precious opportunities! I need to do a similar prune. I have too many shoes . When I see a shoe style I really like, I buy more than one out of fear that when it wears out, the style will no longer be in stock for me to buy a replacement. Then in the interim, I find a shoe I like better, and I do the same. Then I end up here .

Charlotte: No worries! When I legitimised the graph, I tweaked the table too. So now it works cumulatively rather than by brute force. The change of one will update the rest :danceman:.

Kristyn & Periwinkle: Yep and yep! Absolutely full credit for both!:thumbsup:. You only juuuust made the current update :whew!:. You both posted in-between the time I had submitted another post and was about to update this thread :p.

I did make it out, on Jan. 4th, with my trans daughter. We went shopping together, girls' day out, loads of fun and no better antidote for a cold, grey, wet day.

I don’t know if this counts. Yesterday I left home to the gym 100% en femme, from girly tennis shoes, capris and shirt, pink polished toes and a very shear pink polish in my nails, clear mascara and lipstick . The tricky part is of course when going to the showers in flip flops. Is not much, but considering that I live in México I have overcome quite a lot of fear and anxiety to get here. Actually for me this is a grat way to start every day. Happy new year to all and thanks for all your posts, you all are a great inspiration.

Anna: Hmm...lemme see... Does a 100% femme count? . .

YEP! Absolutely! :^5:. I am cognisant of my fortunate situation regarding safety ( if I'm smart ) and constitutional freedom. Not everybody has the same. Thank you for submitting your go-out. Continued successs and safety! ( And you look fantastic in that skirt and shoes! :daydreaming: ).

Jean: Sounds like a great time on any day!. Could your daughter make it here and also post about it in,.. ooh, say,.. the next half-an-hour or so? ;). If not....

Expectation: 63.
Actual: 37 ( 26 behind ).

Termination conditions fulfilled. ( See #34 ).

This isn't necessarily failure. It was always going to happen. At some point during the year, everyone that goes out will have done so, and then after that, there would be relatively few firsts. The fact that a whole bunch of firsts got done so early is a good thing.

Many thanks for all your participation. May you continue to have pleasant & safe excursions! Congratulations to Samm for the first ever outing in public , and for others who are hoping to start going out this year, the very best of luck! :).

Cheers :ms:.
