Two nights ago, my wonderful Sis and I went to the movies. I was fully en femme from my pink toe nails to my brown wig. I was ready to face the world and all of its possible devils. I was really at ease as I purchased the tickets in my male voice, then waited near the confections area as Sis bought 100 gallons of popcorn (so it seemed).

We went to our theater to sit with the normals (I was ready!), but the place was empty!! We were the only ones there !! After about 5 hours of previews, several other couples came in.

Movie is over ... still very few people in the main lobby. I walked well ahead of my Sis, and she lagged behind to see if any sharks were staring at me or chatting about me. Nothing! It was a wonderful evening!

Tonight, we are going out for pizza, and I will be dressed again. Its becoming easier. My baby steps have become toddler steps. Tonight, maybe pre-puberty ones. I am growing as a more confident sister! It feels GOOD!

Jenny what a great feeling it must be to go out with your sister, like that.

Hmmm!

A hundred gallons of popcorn, five hours of previews......

How long was the movie? :-)

Good for you.

Make sure, though, that your sister doesn't turn into some kind of crutch. Now you're getting your footing, you might want to consider solo outings to trans friendly places.

When I was out with my Sis, it was 'alarming how charming I felt.' My confidence level has risen from baby steps a LOT! I do Know that I can now venture out alone to safe places, and plan to do so soon.
