My Sis and I went to an up scale combination pizza parlor / sports bar for pizza and a beer last night. Naturally, I was 'pretty', wearing black leggins and sandals with pink toe nails peeking out, a whit T-shirt, simple silver jewelry, lipstick, brown wig and my black purse. I felt wonderful!

I parked the car, and when I got, there was a group of men nearby on an outside, heated porch. Sis and I moved right along, went inside up to the order station, and I ordered in my natural, male voice, and paid. We got our beers from the sweet young lady who had taken our order. She hadn't blinked an eye, that I could sense, at my being a bit different.

We walked by a bunch of folks, got a table and waited, and my wonderful Sis said, "there's one thing you gotta do .. don't talk in your booming male voice! When you ordered, a 'cook' in the back looked up to see who was ordering". I said, "I know. I know. I was just too confident in my girly guise". We discussed it more.

A young lady brought our pizza, and didn't blink an eye. Now for some photos. Dang!! I left my phone at home, but sis took one of me at home. Another wonderful, confidence building evening for me!

Good for you. It’s more fun when you go out with supporting folk. Good thing someone had a camera.

What's do they put on upscale pizza? Lobster?

It sounds like you have an awesome sister! And that was interesting about her talking to you about your voice. It's good timing because there is a current thread on that topic. Lots of girls just don't worry about it. I definitely soften my voice and am aware of trying not to use my deepest and loudest voice. Sounds like you and sis had a good talk about it. Now you know she is more comfortable when you don't use your booming voice. Again, she sounds really cool.

Thanks for sharing your experience out!
