When I got home from work the other day I decided to see how long it would take to change to girl.
Nothing pre planned or set up.
Got the clothes and makeup out and timed myself.
Dressed in bra, a pullover top, black tights, black skirt and medium heels. Would be fine for office, etc work or casual night out stuff.
Basic makeup and jewelry. Nails are natural. Hair is permed so its always the same boy or girl.
Took me 13 minutes.

Thats my story.

Dressed using casual make up, wig cap, wig, bra and forms, top, skirt/pants, and heels about 10-15 minutes although I have not strictly timed it! I give my self a half hour and I am done and in the living room in 15 to 20 minutes! I do not speed through it it just happens that way! Hugs Lana Mae

I just look in the mirror and say, Shazam! and voila! I'm still an old guy!

If I am home dressed, to make myself acceptable to go out another thirty minutes.

The only time i was ever faster was when my girlfriends would want to take me out and it could be done in ten minutes.

I might add brushing of hair and final makeup was still done on the run in the car.

Karen,
I recently posted a thread asking how quick could you apply full makeup and dress . This was after my sister in law was in town and said she would drop into see me in twenty minutes for coffee, I did it in that time and had enough afterwards to wash the breakfast dishes and push the Hoover round quickly . It was quite funny when she rang the doorbell , when I answered she gave me an " OH ! Your ready !" In fact I had an appointment for my blood donation later that day .

I wish I could turn into Amanda that quick.

It takes me a bit more than 13 minutes haha more like, 30 minutes? I also don't even bother with my nails because they're usually bombed to sh*t because I chew on them (bad habit, I know).

Funnily enough Alenko,I stopped biting my nails once I started dressing regularly, still in a helluva state due to work.

I can manage quite quickly to get my face on and into my outfit, but if going somewhere special can take a good 20 minutes just with makeup

Basic underdressing takes no time at all, nor does makeup. My dilemma is, simply, “what to wear?”..dress, skirt & blouse, slacks, shoes..flats, low heels, wedges and wig color and style...jewelry, earrings, nail color, etc. All things considered, an enjoyable 45 minutes to an hour.

It's the face that would take time. All the attire is not a time consuming challenge. I can get a nice close shave in five minutes. I do need some facial makeup to smooth out all those aging spots. Most of the women I know do not overdue makeup. I noticed while watching a show yesterday that none of the young women (young by my standards) were even wearing lip color or eye makeup. Maybe their skin was in no need of makeup. But, reading all the threads on this site it seems many will do a full makeup job although they are not going anywhere. I wonder how many of the supportive GG's on this site go full makeup and for what occasion?

I only ever dress fully and with total make up nails and brows. To get to look as good as I need to be satisfied takes over an hour. I might be a bit quicker if I’m not going out. Returning to male mode takes less time. My wife takes a similar amount of time.

As Tracii posted, it's not a competition. My time to "transform" varies with my intentions. If I'm headed out, it could be quite a while. If not, it could be much less. I would think this would be the case for most of us.

Yes, not a competition but I can get presentable in about 15 minutes. Most times I don't put on full make up. Just lipstick after dressing. I think I mentioned it before but one of the blessings of ageing is a totally white 5 o'clock shadow. So after a quick, close shave I am pretty much ready to put on lipstick.

Depends upon what is required. I can sit down, close my eyes, and gradually convince myself that I am a girl. The illusion fades as quickly as just opening my eyes. It's easier with some type of rhythmic music playing, something without vocals. I guess it's it's similar to a self hypnosis.

I find my outcomes are better if I take my time. Also, dressing to me is an enjoyable experience. It’s like a strip tease in reverse, if that makes any sense.
