If there was a nice, classy and inexpensive WOMEN'S clothing store that upon entering had a sign saying "Welcome All, We Cloth And Offer Advise To All Sexes To Look Their Best". The SA staff was between 6 to 10 people, male and female all dressed as women in women's clothes, breasts, wigs, makeup. All well dressed and put together presenting as attractive women. The stylish clothes and prices were such that GG's just couldn't stay away. Girls chatting in the office are saying WOW, we gotta go check this out!!! To be helped by attractive cross dressed males, could GG's get use to this? The store would also offer advise to GG's or CD's on clothing, makeup, hair (wigs) and had a private room for this and make overs. Would this New Store turn GG's away. Would more CD men including those in the closet and new be's come. How would having a CD SA working with all genders go over. Women being more accepting could this get them to understanding maybe some males felt and chose to be more attractive and comfortable as a female. Androgynous dressing is the way of the future. Could women bring themselves to say he really does look better in girl jeans, belt and matching top than what male clothes offer. So he's wearing panties under the girl jeans, boxers or tighty whities certainly wouldn't work; bikini or thong, who cares what his underwear is ????

If you are sufficiently out this scenario almost happens . When I go into a store and pick out items I like , I may chat to SAs about sizing or whatever and then make my way to the changing area . I often walk out of the cubicle to check in the full length mirrors often SAs are supervising the area and offer advice or a definite thumbs up . Very often there are other female shoppers coming and going sometimes they stop to check out the item and make their own comments . So far I haven't come across a TG/TS SA but I'm sure it will happen and realistically what difference would it make . If the price is right for quality goods people don't need much persuading no matter who may serve them .

Why would those in the closet be any braver to come out and shop , no matter how user friendly the situation may be people will always make comments good or bad . The stores couldn't afford to turn women away, competition on the High Street is too fierce to be that selective .

Women do accept effeminate men as clothing fitters and often seek their advice.

CDer's would really have to come out of the closet.

Some women do encourage men to dress so maybe it is a successful idea for a store.

You described some real transgender boutiques, the difference being style (those rarely had any) and pricing (those were usually over-the-top expensive). Thank goodness times have changed and our community can shop wherever we please without having to stay in the TG boutique shadows. Gosh knows I have never spent any real money in those places (buying forms doesn't count but clothing?...forget about it!).

Drop a TG SA into a women's clothing store, not really going to be a big deal to many women shoppers.

But really, let's stop with men look better in women's clothing. They don't. Men's clothing looks awesome on a man who, whether consciously or not, is all good being the dude he is. Fantasizing about being able to coerce more men into our community isn't going to lead to change. I have an idea that might help you though. Go out an get that job in a women's clothing store, present as a female or however you choose in order to recruit and start working on the attitudes of women one customer at a time.

I kind of know how that'll turn out. First, it'd never happen but regardless, please know that women love their men to be the men they are and neither the woman nor the man typically have any desire for said man to be running around wearing clothes for said woman.

I wish we had a shop like this in our area. I’ve had great experiences at Dress Barn. I totally agree that the dress of the future is trending to androgynous. There was a recent article in the WSJ showing the same fashions for both men and women. I, too sense a growing “who cares” what we wear attitude...moving a little slower here.

When it comes to men emulating women not all men strike out. I have to assume many of those terrific looking crossdressers on YouTube are in fact men wearing women's clothing. If not, they sure fool me. Maybe the problem is men are not adept at presenting the illusion. Even on this site the critical eye is already aware the person is a male emulating a woman. That being said, I still think many are wearing their female attire well. Even better than many women I know.

I don't see the day when the women's section is going to be full of men buying dresses to wear. I believe one has to be born with that mindset and not suppressing it to conform to societal norms and expectations. All that being said, as I stated in other threads, there have been women's clothing stores in my immediate area which openly solicit patronage of cross dressers.

Quite so.
I don't care about the gender or dress of the SA's where I shop, as long as they're pleasant, helpful, and neat in appearance. That pretty much already describes the vast majority of SA's I encounter while shopping. If you want more, there are always the CD transformation services (girl fantasy camp) and specialty shops, but the prices there are geared for a niche market (i.e. they're higher).

There are a few things that are far fetched. A small boutique usually has one or two people working. So 6-10 employees could only happen if the shop was really booming. What you're describing would have to be small store wouldn't it?

Other than that, I could possibly see a shop like this in a big city, gay, shopping neighborhood (if there is such a thing). But it would most likely be a small store employing 2 SAs. Most CD shops are also geared toward kinky gear. A transvestite SA with a good personality might attract business, but it would be a risk.

Ummm, you are twisting my words.

Women generally want their men to be men. Simple. And those men look best in clothing made for men. If he sports a kegger instead of a six-pack, or is obese, then looking his best will be a challenge no matter what he wears.

Look around sometime. Observe a great looking man who is dressed in his masculine finest. Now try to picture him standing at his closet picking out a dress without looking through a TG lens. Kind of silly. But even more silly to suggest as OP has done repeatedly that somehow if he only were to TRY women's clothes then he'd come to the side of light. Men generally are not wired that way and most women are plenty thankful for that.

I really do love and appreciate all your opinions, thankyou for them. I feel like we are all friends and have this unique feminine bond with each other that others don't have which causes us to bond and care for each other and understand each other where others don't understand us.

To clarify and address some of the threads:
I envisioned a medium sized store in a group of speciality shops with up to 10 employees offering general and specialized advise in different areas such as clothes, shoes, lingerie, makeovers, fittings and advise to women and CD's. The male to female SA's/Specialists (4 or 5) would present as attractive feminine women, of course they would present as the beautiful transformation CD's you see on You Tube, Male to Female Transformation, etc. letting customers including women see how attractive and presentable MtF CD's can be. Maybe this would change one's thinking to if he looks that beautiful as a woman, Why Not. Women getting good advise from a very attractive feminine CD that really helped her would probially be quickly accepting, no different than women bonding with gay effeminate men. Maybe just one SA would dress androgynous in girl shoes, jeans, belt and top to show you don't have to dress totally female but the close body fitting female clothes can be just as eye appealing and attractive on him as a her. Newbie's and in the closeters could get advise and try on in a private room. I live in a an area of 20 mil. people, do the math, X amount are CD's, they would come and women too if the clothes are great and cheap. Oh Well, pipe dream; didn't some one invent something called a computer and sales took off??

There is a big difference between a store that is trans friendly and one that specifically caters to CDs. I would NEVER want any of the stores that I shop at to even carve out a dedicated section for CDs/trans. Employees at "regular" stores already know if something looks good on a women and can offer advice. Therefore, they also know if any of the clothing, accessories, makeup you are deciding on looks horrible on you when you are trying to present as female. CDs do not possess some super power that helps them concern what looks good on other trans people.

I hope stores never decide to hire SAs that are specifically dedicated to the trans community. If they did and I entered a "normal" store and was directed to one of those of specialists I would be extremely offended. I would have very choice words with their management team. I want an opinion and help from someone of the general populace and have their advice be geared towards how a GG would be perceived.

As others have said, there are already transformation boutique describing the fantasy store you want. I stay far, far away from those because the majority (all?) of the goods they carry are overpriced and usually garbage quality. Also, the majority of the transformations I see from them look frumpy, outdated, or way overdone.

I see no point in what you are proposing. Why would anyone shopping (GG or trans) want advice specifically from a MtF CD? If an SA happens to be one, fine. To purposely seek one out? No.

I wouldn't probably go to the store. I like the company of women and their clothes. I have been in women's stores where a guy was working in them and had on a women's shirts or whatever. I found one interesting in his interaction with female customers. Most of the female customers only used him to checkout. On the other hand women have asked me what I thought. Even when I had on women's clothes. But I'm a gregarious person and love chit chat while shopping. I'm also not flamboyant in my movements which most of the guys were. Even had a woman that was complaining about the bra racks being messed up. I agreed with her. She made a joke about my size and I told her. I ended up handing her one in her size.
